That artwork certainly is very Graham Humphreys. While it hardly screams BFI Flipside on first impressions I like it.

As for the on disc extra films the two I'm unfamiliar with, Out of Step and The Judgement of Albion, both sound more interesting than the two main features. As for Getting it Straight in Notting Hill Gate and The Witch's Fiddle it'll be nice to have good, no doubt HD, transfers of both rather than the versions currently in the BFIPlayer free collection. Hopefully they'll also have found some appropriate royalty free music for the Witch's Fiddle which'll improve the viewing experience tremendously.

Just occurred to me the Legend of the Witches / Secret Rites disc appears to have lost the Maxine Sanders interview and Legend commentary track. Despite not being a fan of her ex-husband this is a shame as no doubt she'd have had some interesting and unique information and anecdotes to add.

Had a feeling this was on it's way to home video sooner rather than later but nice to have confirmation. Though with my memory there's every chance someone confirmed this release several months back on this very thread and I've just forgotten...

Bait (Mark Jenkins) due 20th January 2020:

https://shop.bfi.org.uk/pre-order-ba...t-edition.html

I'll second Mark Kermode's recommendation that this'll make a great double bill with Paul Wright's "Arcadia" (https://shop.bfi.org.uk/pre-order-arcadia-dvd.html - DVD only alas but well worth seeing)

Not in my local it hasn't. Think it starts tomorrow (and the Arrow Academy one finishes today).

Yes,they were removing the Arrow Academy titles from the shelves today (shortly before closing) in the Manchester HMV,and replacing them with BFI blu-rays....

I might see if my local HMV has The Black Panther. Doubt it though.

I can't see Room at the Top in any of the various Fopp pics on twitter - is it definitely included? I'd be tempted to pair that with Napoleon if my local HMV has the latter. Does anyone know how much Napoleon usually is in HMV/Fopp?

Didn't see Room At The Top or The Caretaker in mine. Picked up How I Won The War and Mr Topaze which gives me an up-to-date Flipside Collection.

Was considering People On Sunday but nothing else stood out to pair it with so left it for now.

I want to get the Kurosawa samurai collection but would have nothing to pair it with sadly. Probably going to grab a bunch of flipside releases and Life is Sweet.

Just picked up Madame de..., Distant Voices, Still Lives and then threw in the Breaking Bad complete series for £12 They had The Caretaker but no Room at the Top, no doubt I'll go back for more soon.

Got a few titles today but as expected no Clarke box set! Don’t even recall seeing that set at a HMV.

Don't know whether to get the Wernor Herzog collection or not, don't really want any of the other boxsets since I already have the Kurosawa collection. Seems too good to pass up for technically £27.50 each. Can anyone recommend any of the other boxsets?

Can anyone recommend any BFI titles? I'm looking for some genre films or any from the Middle East (Iran, Turkey, Egypt)

Room at the Top was not in the offer in my local. In fact it was distinctly displayed outside of the other BFI titles and was £15.99 (not even in the 2 for £25 offer). I definitely would've got it if it had been BOGOF!

I enquired about The Caretaker but it wasn't in stock, and also Mr Topaze which also wasn't. They're going to order them into store for me though!

I picked up these four for £29.98:

Might have gone for Bergman: A Year in the Life but it was £29.99, and same for Heat and Dust which was £19.99. I think Maurice was the same price as the latter but I already bought that from HMV recently for £9.99, so annoyingly I could've waited and got Heat and Dust with it. Oh well...

Seems to be a bit random what is and isn't in the offer - I saw on Twitter that How I Won the War was in the BOGOF but it wasn't in my store I don't think. I also didn't notice any copies of the following which I would've got: The Blood of Hussain, Napoleon, J'Accuse, Three Films by Ken Loach, Film/Notfilm, Minute Bodies: The Intimate World of F. Percy, Blue Black Permanent, Red White and Zero and The Phantom of the Opera. I think I only saw one of the Chaplin sets too (can't remember which one exactly).

The Robbe Grillet box-set is pretty great, although I need to delve further. Other than that, I didn’t see any box-set part of the offer that was over £30, perhaps buy 2 Herzog sets and sell one?
