They’re not excluded. And orderable into store under your name. You can phone your local store. They’ll text you when they arrive in store.

Apologies if unclear. Bristol has most/all of the box sets mentioned above but Jarmen is just not included in the deal it seems.

I meant excluded from the offer and I'm referring to the second Jarman set if that wasn't clear. Not being snippy just clarifying

Which is an utter shame in all honesty but I can sort of see why they wouldn't.

Grabbed a few things from my local HMV today;

That Sinking Feeling
Distant Voices, Still Lives
Life is Sweet
Peppermint Soda
When the Wind Blows
Alice
Ivan's Childhood (Criterion)

All blind buys, though I've had my eye on most of them for quite some time. Great sale overall, might pop back and grab a few more but I'm still undecided

Jarman Vol 2 is the only set I wanted, though it's probably going oop soon like the first set so maybe BFI thought putting it in the sale wasn't necessary.

They had a lot of new stock in my local store for this offer including quite a few of the boxsets.

Went for the following plus had a £10 voucher from work which made it even better.

Was passing a Fopp today so nipped in to find the 2 I wanted and came out with 6.

The Caretaker and People On Sunday was my intended. Came away also with The Comfort Of Strangers, Paris Nous Appartient, Blue Black Permanent and Inner Sanctums The Quay Brothers. At least 1 of them (BBP?) shouldn't have been in the offer.

It was either J'Accuse or The Comfort Of Strangers but I thought I already had the former from a previous sale but I could be wrong.

I assume Pinter at the BBC isn't in the offer either?

Has there been a low-stock alert or a sell-out somewhere that I missed? Or do you just mean, generally speaking, it's a low-run limited edition?

It was marketed as a limited edition set. Reportedly OOP at BFI but I don't know how many they batched up to begin with.

Volume One is OOP too but they had two sat in HMV for £49.99 each so there are some around.

Jarman Volume 2 is still available at the BFI online shop:

https://shop.bfi.org.uk/directors/de...l#.XXnbYiXTUlQ

I don’t think there’s any need to panic buy just yet. Technically, a limited edition is OOP the day it is issued, but there’s no indication of low stock. Volume 1 took a year to sell out, and arguably had the bigger-name films. I’m still holding out for a deal on Volume 2.

Cheapest I've seen it was on Zoom for £42 but typically didn't have the funds at the time.

Not a bad price.

I paid £40 for Volume 1, and I don’t want Volume 2 as badly. I’d be comfortable at that same price point.
