It's owned by Warner Bros. You'll need to ask Warner Archive, but I would imagine that they're working on a restoration for it that isn't ready yet.

But if you believe Warner Archive, it seems like they're working on just about every unreleased Warner title simultaneously. Forever...

Yes, I'm bitter about The Crowd, The Wind and Greed.

There's another 10 in stock for £9.48 at rarewaves-outlet on Ebay (just ordered a copy)
Thanks for the heads up on this, I never got round to either the BFI or the Criterion versions at time of release because they both seemed imperfect...

But it's now only £7.66 at Rarewaves and, with 10% off a first order, £6.90 for even a compromised set of 4 Rossellini films feels like a huge bargain

All for supporting Hive but for those interested in price alone it's £7.66 at Rarewaves website and that's without the 10% off for first time buyers.

Okay next time I'm double check Rarewaves' website before going for their eBay! It would be good if I could cancel my eBay order and reorder, but they don't really give you a good way to do that.

They also have the Preminger set for a little over £14.

Rarewaves have a lot of bargain BFIs, including some recent releases like Hair, Yentl, Film Not Film and Carmen Jones for £7.66.

This is also the cheapest I've seen this set -

Chaplin - Essanay Films £7.66

A small subscribe window popped up, I guess for a newsletter, tapped in my email address and they sent me a code.

Didn't realize they had their own web shop. I've bought things from them via the Amazon Marketplace before. I just ordered two (non-BFI titles) from them on eBay. Oddly enough, only one of them is in their web shop. But I've bookmarked them, and will buy from them directly in the future. No sense in them having to pay a vig to eBay or Amazon.

The two I ordered from eBay: Eureka's The Thousand Eyes of Dr. Mabuse and 88 Films' Miracles: The Canton Godfather. Their listings make it look like they have the limited O-sleeves on both, so here's hoping. If not, c'est la vie; the O-sleeves on both are sold out at their respective labels' sites anyway. Miracles was the one they didn't have in their web shop.

Thanks for sharing. I grabbed this up right away albeit from their eBay shop since via Rarewaves direct the shipping was $6 while at eBay it was free. Grabbed it for a little under $14 when the Flicker Alley version would've set me back $50 USD.

I just feel like the Thousand Eyes O-card would mean it wouldn't match with the other Mabuse films so I'm not so bothered!

I'm still hoping for a later-on steelbook, like they did with Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari

I wonder if Criterion are saving it for a future Kurosawa box set like they did with the Bergman set.

For their release a decade ago? Yes. And I think for most, if not all, their Kurosawa Blu-Ray releases; the BFI are beholden to what Toho offers them and they are, by and large, not impressed enough to release more Kurosawa on Blu-Ray. Same with Naruse.

I think that 4K restoration BFI Distribution page is new, from their current COVID-interrupted Japan 2020 season. Whether or not they get to release it on Blu-Ray like Tokyo Story...your guess is as good as mine

Tried 2 emails and not getting the email. Was it a generic discount code like Zavvi or a unique code?
