Kinda frustrated when I see a newer Ozu disc for half the price I paid on release day, but there you go. Fill yer boots, kids.
I went for Equus, The Good Die Young and Beat the Devil. A few more I’m curious about so might pop into HMV tomorrow whilst I still can! |

Same, I paid more than double for Green Tea just a couple of months ago, thankfully I thought it was fantastic film so don't mind too much. It's a shame the new Tokyo Story doesn't seem to be reduced though.

Some decent prices to be found, i bought the Takeshi Kitano set fairly recently for £27 and that's down to £18 (out of stock now).
I went with Equus for £9.99 (nearly pulled the trigger on this last week for £16 odd as it is a limited edition), Sunday Bloody Sunday for £6.99 and Privilege (an old flipside release that i never got round to picking up) for £7, there a couple of recent flipside releases down to £7 but they are out of stock already. |

It is, though in my local not everything was correctly priced so I had to ask at the till to make sure. Managed to get An Actor's Revenge that way.

Yup that one too! PS: the Kitano set was £18 this morning, well done to anyone who got it for that much! It's back up to £35 now so I assume that was a mistake... Last edited by rapta; 11-02-2020 at 06:04 PM. |

Went for The Good Die Young, Cosh Boy, Beat The Devil and Moulin Rouge.
Paid £14 for Battle Of The Sexes a couple of weeks ago. Should have waited. |

The Werner Herzog Collection Boxset is now £30, a great price for anyone who hasn't got round to getting it yet.

My haul: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I’m still tempted by the Criterion release of Flavor though, as it adds What Did the Lady Forget? in HD, a David Bordwell and Daniel Raim interview - but at £6.99 it’s difficult to resist a booklet and a Tony Rayns commentary! One of the major reasons I bought the Criterion of Good Morning was to get I Was Born, but... in HD. Interested in The Good Die Young, but reviews for the film seem split down the middle. |

I had a look on camelcamelcamel this morning and these are the best reductions (vs. what's already cheap on Amazon, or has been reduced for an extended period earlier this year). For me it makes it easier to decide which titles to go for
Spetters Beat devil Equus Funeral parade Room top Richard iii Eyes w/out Pasolini Green tea Good die Red white zero Classe tous Rogue male Requiem village Cosh boy Little Malcolm J'accuse Orchard end Madame de Actors revenge Tess Man violence Beat girl Mulberry The Black Panther |

Huge news - BFI releasing Bogdanovich's Targets in March, along with some other goodies:
Blue Sky (18th January) Marlene Dietrich at Universal, 1940-1942 (4-Film Collection) (18th January) Madchen in Uniform (8th March) Romeo is Bleeding (8th March) Targets (22nd March) Ben Stoddart has been very pessimistic about the prospects of UK labels licencing from Paramount - perhaps he was just trying to pull the wool over our eyes? |
