Found it on the BFI website for £10 cheaper so ordered it there, and still 4 weeks to be delivered. Though probably lockdown 2.0 didn't help in BFI's case.

In short, it's been a two month saga.
HMV seem to be dispatching same day or within a day with the holiday rush

Do BFI usually have some sort of Black Friday sale on their website? I have never bought from them before but I have a few items in my basket now.

Got an email back:

Please accept our apologies for this delay. Unfortunately this item was out of stock when you ordered it and a new delivery of it has since gone astray.

We hope it will be back in stock in the next 3-5 business days and we will ship it when it arrives.

They did last year so assume there’s a possibility of one this year

My waiting for the Herzog set paid off. £30 was really the desired price, but curiously and surprisingly welcome it dropped to £25 when I went to check out. Does anybody know why, and did they receive the same adjustment? I wonder if it's because it was my first order from them.

Good thing too, since the shipping isn't cheap.

Are you outside the UK? If so, it probably took the VAT off.

I was going to say the same thing. BFI deducts the VAT for US (at least) customers.

^That would be it then, thanks y'all.

What's the deal with 15% off? Is that for existing members? I thought about creating an account to see if I'd get it, but I figured it was applied when I saw the (VAT) reduction.

I believe that's for a membership in the BFI itself, not just creating an account to buy things from the shop.

Herzog set down to £24.99 as a Black Friday deal. Bargain if you ask me, as in my opinion it's the best set BFI have ever produced!

Alan Clarke, for me, by a wide margin.

Both Derek Jarman sets are superb, mind.

Another contender:

Oh sure, it's all about the discs for that one. Would much prefer if they had done separate cases (like Clarke, Jarman, Woodfall etc).
