No La Haine in Covent Garden

I feel exactly the same way but I’m not sure I have the time to do so next week

I tried to find HMV in Victoria Centre but got incredibly lost, couldn’t find a proper floor plan and the touch screens didn’t work well to work out which level it was on, and only managed to find it once it had closed for the night!

Please DM if you can help me out!
My list of titles I would ask for favours on is incredibly long, especially with so many new releases included!

It's annoying HMV aren't also doing the offer, there's so few FOPPs now.

Just out of FOPP Covent Garden, like others said stock is limited but the downstairs selection isn't tagged with the sale prices, so ask them to scan and check. I picked up Wages of Fear, Faces and for another user here The River. WORTH NOTING; they didn't have La Haine in stock but reserved a copy at its criminal sale price for me for when stock returns. Clerk said she's no idea how long the sale lasts, so get in pronto!

If LE stock still exists to fulfill your reservation?

You travel a lot around the island?

Anyone have any thoughts as to why it was included I'm the offer? BFI clearing the last of the LE stock?
Just so happened I had the pleasure of visiting Edinburgh over the past few days, in honour of getting older - also found out I'm the same age as Fopp

I just kept it simple, just wanted The River before the booklet disappears (and bonus disc?). Was the one BFI title this year I wanted but for whatever reason didn't pre-order, so happy to get it!

Thanks for helping me out! Good luck with La Haine, that's another bargain (I think I paid £15 or so for it and thought that was a good price).

Think they would mention on the BFI Facebook group if stock was running low, and besides I think the reissue would be released with a separate SKU as this comes with a slipcase and thicker booklet.

Much smaller selection in Fopp Covent garden but they are still updating prices. So if you browse the full BFI selection downstairs - do ask to check the prices at the tills 👍

Was eyeing up Mr Topaze in the sale as a potential Xmas pressie for the girlfriend's dad. He loves Sellers but I doubt he's seen it, worth a gamble? He's mad for Goons/Milligan as well so thought the extras might appeal to boot.

Absolutely. For any Sellers fan there’s plenty of interest here and it is a rare film which disappeared from view for many years. It isn’t one of his best but far from one of his mistakes - a perfectly good film.

Just to concur with you that the staff at Covent Garden said they will have stock in maybe end of the wekk or early next week, and I paid for one too.

I told you all I would get short sharp shocks cheap. I'll be at Fopp at opening time this morning. I'll get the second volume in next year's sale.

Appreciate the rec, gave me the shove I needed to pick it up! Here's hoping he likes it.

If anyone's interested, I bought Piccadilly from Fopp Covent Garden at lunchtime today, at the bargain £6 price, and was a little surprised to find it still had the substantial-looking booklet inside.

It was the only copy of Piccadilly that I found - and I had to go downstairs for it. But I had very little time so was in and out in 5 mins .... possible there were more I didn't see.
(Equally my smash-and-grab raid makes me a bit vague on what else was there, I'm afraid).

Not sure if the Fopp corrected a mistake or whether the sale had just been hammered, but there wasn’t a sniff of any of the newer release £6 bargains in the Manchester store today.

After Love, The Pawnbroker, The River, La Haine for example.

Still a great sale mind, picked up a few titles.
