Annoyingly I got all the Truffaut titles in the last HMV offer, then got Pickpocket from Rarewaves when it dropped to a tenner, then the other two Bresson from Zavvi when they also dropped to a tenner each…so in short, there are only two titles I want from this offer and I’m struggling to find a third.

Any news of the same offer from HMV?

The Draughtman's Contract is a major - and quick - bargain there!

Blimey, first time it's ever been worth ordering direct from BFI. Code WELCOME10 brings it to £20.50 delivered for all 3.

15£ shipping to Estonia for 3 discs, not worth ordering anything here.

BFI is not IOSS-friendly either.

It's a shame Nineteen Eighty-Four, The Draughtsman's Contract and Pickpocket are sold out, they are the three I would have bought. Oh well, you snooze you lose.

Yup, the first two are what I was after and I realised I didn’t have a Pasolini title so was going to order them this morning…but they’re sold out from BFI themselves which is odd.

That said I think Nineteen Eighty-Four is the second pressing without booklet so might be worth getting in a future HMV/Fopp offer instead (more likely to have older stock).

According to a Facebook comment by BFI's Ben Stoddard, Mean Streets will be coming to the UK on 4K, albeit not by way of Criterion, but through a different label. With Ben commenting, this must either be Warner UK or the BFI. I would be very excited for a BFI release, especially because this would mean an encode by David Mackenzie. Though I like the new Criterion artwork quite a bit.

Is it with Warner in Europe? Only Carlotta released it in France, a couple of labels in Germany and Icon here (still in print). With Second Sight licencing from Icon (not sure who else is), maybe it's coming through them?

I didn’t think Warner had the UK rights for Mean Streets? The uk blu was released by Icon Productions. So given Drive, the Babadook, It Follows & The Guest were all Icon blu rays that Second Sight released on 4k I think they are the most likely to have the UK 4k rights. Second Sight also use David FiM so UK could well have the better encode

Nah, Ben has some knowledge of what other labels have planned - it comes with the territory.

It will probably be Second Sight, for the reason GG88 mentioned.

The Criterion artwork is indeed lovely. If Mean Streets ends up with Second Sight as others have suggested, I hope they go in a less 'graphic design' direction with the artwork than with their other releases. BFI have a much better track record in that regard.

I assume this offer is on at the BFI shop in Southbank. Might go there tomorrow after the the England Lionesses semi-final v Australia.

Just got back from the BFI shop in Southbank & here are a few things about the BFI offer that I found out:

1) Even though they are NOT advertising it at the shop (BFI Southbank) they are still honouring the 3 for £20 offer. I got 2 lots (£16.98 each including 15% off as I'm a BFI member), consisting of Pickpocket, The Trial of Joan of Arc & L'Argent (1 set) & The Draughtsman's Contract, Radio On & Rogue Male (TV) (2nd Set), so it is worth going to the BFI Southbank if you can.

2) The offer ENDS on Monday 21st (when the Southbank shop shuts, I think about 6pm, & midnight online)

3) Even if something is OOS you can still order them as they will be sending ALL OOS stuff in September when they get more stock of the OOS titles.

4) The Magic Flute (Bergman) comes in blue cases (the ones at the Southbank store do) although I have seen said film come in clear cases before.

On another note albeit not related to the BFI 3 for £20 offer, I noticed that Visions of Change Volume 1: BBC 1951-1967 DVD is on offer for £12.99 at least in the Southbank store but not sure about online though.

Anyone know what BFI DVDs have got extras that the BFI BDs didn't include? Think someone on here mentioned they got 2 DVDs for the extras & I'm not sure which 2 they were.
