This also coincides with news that they film will be showing at the New York Film Festival in September as joint world premiere with the BFI London Film Fstival. The film is held by Criterion/Janus Films in the US. I imagine a BD from both respective companies will follow.

I asked the BFI this last month and a blu-ray is a possible for next year.

For anyone thinking where is Brannigan which was supposed to be out on Monday it's delayed.

BFI Shop says this
"Due to a supply chain issue, we are currently awaiting stock of this title. Please note that orders placed now will be shipped in September."

Both Amazon and HMV say out of stock. Amazon have taken off sale and scalpers there claiming they can sell at higher prices.

From L-13 (KLF art dealers) mail out today -

"ALSO…

THE BRITISH LIBRARY TO ARCHIVE AUDIO RECORDINGS AS
THE KLF KOLLECTION

THE ICE KREAM VAN RECONSTRUCTS A RECORD

THE BRITISH FILM INSTITUTE TO RELEASE 23 SECONDS TO ETERNITY
COLLECTED FILMS BLU-RAY/DVD and LAUNCH NIGHT"

Someone mentioned a week or so ago on another forum (possibly the KLF fan FB page) that someone associated with the KLF had been recording commentaries for some of their videos / films.

EDIT - Now on BFI site. https://www.bfi.org.uk/news/films-ju...-klf-timelords

This sounds interesting. Though I've not read the whole of the BFI link the collection does seem to be missing The K Foundation Burn £1,000,000 short which feels like a shame. And what's with the new soundtrack re The White Room? Not that I'm complaining, especially if the music videos are genuine HD.

After the English language Scenes from a Marriage series, Fremantle/SVT/ARTE are producing a 6 part Faithless miniseries from Tomas Alfredson that will debut in 2025, going forward 40 years into the future.

The restoration premieres at LFF/NYFF on 11th October and hits cinemas/BFI Player on 3rd November, alongside a Power to the People season at Southbank.

It also doesn’t include the documentary Who Killed the KLF? and Best Before Death is a separate release from Anti-Worlds. Very happy to see BFI release more music titles like Dance Craze, It Couldn’t Happen Here, I’ve Been Trying to Tell You. I first new about them from Doctorin’ in the TARDIS, only heard about everything else and their departure from the music industry later on.

I'm just glad this is coming out even if I do keep thinking of things that could have been included (the 1992 Brit Awards performance is an important part of the KLF/Jamms legacy, to see and hear that again in broadcast quality would be nice) But knowing Mr.Drummund's never look back/no regrets attitude to art we should be happy with what we're getting.

Can't help thinking the person associated with the KLF providing commentary tracks will be their roadie Gimpo, but also think that would be too obvious.

Nothing here. Might depend on what you ordered I guess? I get the impression their stock levels were not accurate and a lot has been placed on back order (and as such probably won't come with booklets).

I ordered:
- The Draughtsman's Contract (this one is almost certainly on back order I reckon)
- L'argent
- Jules et Jim

Nothing here as well. Placed two orders (#44908-#45279) on the 15th and 20th, respectively. No backorders; did include a couple of Second Run titles in each order. Don't know if that's keeping them.

Anyway, almost 400 orders in a 5-day time span seem a lot to me. Patiently waiting..

I went to the shop and the sale wasn't on from what I could see, checked after and it said online only on the website. Everything was labelled full price, how did you wangle it?

I just came in with a list of films that I wanted (from the ones listed online) & whittled it down to what I got. I asked & the person that served me said although they weren't advertising it in the shop they'd still accept/honour the offer or words to that effect which is why I mentioned several things on here once I got back from Waterloo after the first round of 6 titles.

Think Ben on Facebook said that they are hoping to do another 3 for £20 offer next year & hopefully for longer with some other differences in terms of title but I can't remember exactly what he said in regards to the last bit I mentioned.

Just noticed that all the old BFI Kurosawa DVD box sets have randomly dropped to £19.99 each at HMV. No kind of promo or sale is mentioned. Can't see them ever going much lower than that, so if you're missing anything, get it while the gettin's good.
