Great announcements. Will be getting The Hidden Fortress, might get Aguirre 4K and/or Nosferatu 4K eventually but not in a huge rush as they already look great on Blu-ray (definitely if I upgrade my system).

Aguirre is an all-time top favourite though so it is tempting (I have similar predicament with MoC's releases of Paths of Glory 4K and Touch of Evil 4K). Shame they don't just do Dual Format and therefore force me to buy it, but I suppose the Blu-ray disc would be the same as the one in the box set.

Object Z looks interesting, never heard of it but certainly piques my interest.

EDIT: Wait a minute, there's separate Blu-ray releases of both Aguirre and Nosferatu! I didn't realise, will probably get those then but might wait on reviews to see how big the difference is. Will no doubt cave on Aguirre at least...

Great announcements! I am in for them all!

Never heard about Object Z, but it sounds intriguing and like something I would love.

Episode one of Project Z is on YouTube for those who'd like a taster before buying.

I'm looking forward to BFI's Nosferatu. I bought the German BD that incorrectly lists English options on Amazon. Only the other day I found out it has none. I've got the Shout 4k of Aguirre so I won't bother buying that again.

Now I wonder if BFI will relent and finally release a UHD of The 400 Blows...

I don't need to physically own the other Doinel films personally.

I reckon next on the agenda may be Eyes Without a Face…or you’d hope so at least.

I’ve just ordered the Umbrella 4K so it’s almost guaranteed.

There have been so many good releases this year: The Kurosawa titles, La Haine, and now Aguirre! I can't wait for the BFI to be up and running again so I can dig into this multi-course 4K FEAST!

I haven’t ever seen Throne of Blood 4K in stock on Amazon UK - I check pretty regularly so either missed it or there is some issue. Anyone else notice this?
I want to get it soon in case stock starts running low!

Hidden Fortress 4K - excellent news about new Tony Ryan’s commentary! That will mean all the Samurai Collection will have been upgraded. Amazing Kurosawa BFI releases. Hope we get a few more as restorations become available.

The Imprint Powell Pressburger upcoming set highlights how hard it is to understand how badly their films are represented in the Uk

Surely at some point we are going to get great editions of these films - either Criterion editions brought to UK or my wish is that BFI get to release them.

Made In England documentary - does anyone know if a UK Blu-ray is upcoming?

Just ordered Throne of Blood 4K from Amazon Uk - delivery estimate Sep - December! Thought to do it anyway.

Hope I get an update from Amazon soon

Can’t imagine it sold out that quick! I am in Ireland so HMV is not an easy option as they won’t ship to Ireland.

Kind of hoping Imprint announcing a Powell and Pressburger boxset will cause BFI to hurry up and release some?

I am assuming they are planning to release the new scans they recently toured?

Unfortunately Imprint have something that the BFI does not: a deal with ITV. Until that happens, they're never getting a UK release again

Yeah, as I said somewhere on the Aussie forum, all these ViaVision sets of ITV things effectively *are* the UK releases, and the last chance at same, so FOMO is justified.

Yeah, it's going to cost an arm and a leg but I'll be importing the Imprint releases. Their encodes can be hit and miss but they go the extra mile in terms of extras etc and as mentioned above there won't be a region B alternative.

Are the P&P titles likely to get individual releases? Having several already on blu I don’t want to double dip due to the high cost.
