Standing upright? Its a turtle dammit! At least the original had man in the suit as an excuse but it sometimes went on all fours.

Thanks. Definitely love me some new Gamera but deep down was hoping for something along the lines of a (Shin) Godzilla reboot.

Gamera already pretty much got the "Shin" treatment with the heisei trilogy in the 90's

Definitely love that rendition but would be excited to see what they could do nearly three decades later.

I will still give it a try, but my expectations have just gone way down. I am not an anime fan at all, but I do like some giant monsters destroying cities, so I will definitely watch it.

I don't mind it being anime but definitely would have preferred live action.
