It looks to be this one http://www.yesasia.com/global/fury-2...0-en/info.html. There are also Hong Kong and Japanese versions listed but who knows what they are like.

$43 is too much. I will wait and see if DDDhouse has it for cheaper.

I wouldn't want that overly compressed TW disc, correct black levels or not.

Agreed the TW has compression issues. The Polish release looks to have a much higher bitrate than the TW and Sony BD's.

The other issue is possible missing subtitles for the German dialogue.

I've already memorized the German dialogue.

Fury: Polish BD > Taiwan BD > US BD

When you toggle between the Taiwan BD and US BD on Caps-a-holic, the difference in the background behind Logan Lerman is shocking. It's almost as if you're switching between two different movies!

I'd like to see more caps of the Polish BD before making that claim.

I had to make them myself for this clip since the subtitles are player generated:

Interesting, though it's only a very slight difference. At least we now know that title isn't affected the other way like FURY, THE INTERVIEW and MBFW.

The linked page shows Region A-B-C.

I don't understand why the Whiplash DVD is darker. Aren't they supposed to be using the same master?

Someone in the main Fury thread said that you have to pick either forced Polish audio or forced Polish subtitles.

Looks like I am staying clear of that one then. I wonder if they are still forced if you're viewing the raw AVC file. Are the subtitles player generated?

Both the Polish and Taiwanese blurays are distributed by companies other than Sony. The Polish bluray is distributed by a company called Monolith. The Taiwanese blu-ray is published by Taisheng Multimedia.

Folks over at the Fury UK bluray thread are saying that the UK bluray exhibits the same black levels issues as the US disc. Sony distributes the film in both countries.

Yeah, I figured it was something localized to Sony after seeing both Fury and The Interview.

Usually forced subs are not burned-in. In that case you can remux and leave the subs out (be glad to help you with that via PM if interested).
