Smurfs used a 2K DI. I am showing Smurfs 2 will use a 4K DI, but there's not a even a BD release date yet.

TO THE WONDER was shot almost entirely in Super-35, with limited use of 65mm and a Red One for some night stuff in Paris.

That's correct. That Red One footage is why it's in the list.

Point is, I was hoping you would consider ‘yet to be released’, for if not, right out of the gate your list appears quite diminutive

We might as well include yet to be released titles as long as they have gotten that 4K or higher DI.

I have added Smurfs 2 and The Tree of Life.

The title of this thread would suggest that the movies are shot either entirely or a least primarily digitally. To include titles like the two recent Malick films (THE TREE OF LIFE and TO THE WONDER) which were almost entirely shot on film and used very little digital acquisition (in TREE OF LIFE's case, only the ethereal "dancing light" shots were filmed digitally with a Red) doesn't seem to fit IMO, although they should be on the "4K mastered" thread since both went through 4K DIs.

P.S. on a comprehensive technical note, majority of SFX were done in 2K, which is not that atypical, even now, with many ‘4K’ movies.

The DI (master) has to be at 4K or higher. Evil Dead was shot digitally in 4K, but the DI is only 2K.

I just read about a week ago that there will be no 4k blu-ray now. I dont have a link but anyone can Google it and get the upsetting news. Boooooo!!!!!

The key to everything is the digital intermediary (DI). It's the digital scan we get of a given film and it is that DI that is used for home video use, which at this time is BD. The only studio regularly using 4K DIs in Sony.

Well, all these are linked to the website, which then links to Amazon for purchase. So if I wanted to get the 3D version of The Amazing Spider-Man, I can do so without navigating through too many pages. It's an enhanced list if I might say so.

Um, it will be under "other versions" on the same page.., so you only navigate one additional page at most.

To me the same title repeated clutters things up.
