The sixth is Best of 4K

The non-70mm titles have previously been released on 4K USB sticks and 1080p Blu-rays

No Wendell , distribution and delivery of docs for purchase is not in my realm.

Don’t feel too badly though as worse is the fact that the SMPTE movie “Moving Images” (produced to celebrate 2016 as its 100th anniversary) in its fundraising campaign made no mention of a Blu-ray version of the movie for $45.00 and above supporters….https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/s...oving-images#/

If they’d had, I think they might have had at least a little better chance in reaching their $80,000 fundraising goal….at least among home theater enthusiasts so inclined to partake. Pity…since the movie was shot in 4K.

Plus, to put it into more Penton perspective, the movie, "The John Penton Story" exceeded its $150,000 goal http://www.dealernews.com/dealernews...ndraising-goal and offered a Blu-ray version to supporters….and was not even shot in 4K.

For new readers to the thread, recommended to fellow dirt (woods) rider Kris Deering just before Christmas a year ago…

What I am referring to is a data CD. SMPTE would release SMPTE Standards disc once a year with all the SMPTE Standards (and Recommended Practices) in PDF format on data CD's.

It appears they no longer offer this service and you must download the Standards. If a SMPTE member knows this not to be true then please post corrections.

SMPTE site here.

Pretty fair minded article about the state of Ultra HD Blu-ray by an AV writer/journalist type…..http://www.twice.com/ultra-hd-blu-ra...e-launch/60239

P.S. to ^ the UHD Blu-ray player availability aspect (or lack thereof) as mentioned at the very end of the article reminds me of something.

Question to anyone, as the timing of this is kind of funny because it’s true and not an April Fools joke….What new company is planning to begin operation on April 1, 2016?
