I wonder, as this could be a The King's Man or The King's Daughter where it was advertised as being in 3D yet was delayed so many times that it released only in 2D and the 3D was never to be seen.

Watching The King's Man in 2D was painful, not just because I'm a 3D fan, but because the movie was chock full of shots that were meant for 3D and those always look weird in 2D.

This was never advertised as having 3D, no. I'm pretty sure King's Man wasn't either.

I’ve somehow never seen the original despite having friends obsessed with it, will have to fix that before the end of May.

I watched it for the first time a few weeks ago after telling myself for years I would. I had an enjoyable time. Hope you do as well!

Unfortunately in the original Top Gun, most of the film takes place on the ground.

Hopefully Top Gun 2 gets it right this time. The trailers look hopeful anyway for fans of fighter jets.

Yeah, I remember them saying Top Gun 2 would be in 3D, but I haven't heard anything since. The delay probably didn't help.

Yet amazing how the delay did help 3D being added to 007: No Time to Die 3D, which unfortunately could only be experienced in 3D theaters, with no blu ray 3D released despite other films getting blu ray 3D discs since then. Like Dune 3D being on blu ray 3D thankfully.

I'd love that. But if not then I can always rewatch the first before I go see the new one anyway. Either way, it's probably going to be a hell of a time!
