Speedoman doesn't count; it's all fantasy, a comic flick taken from an illustrated superhero book.

Ah, I didn't know the official numbers were already in; I thought they'll be in later on.
Without a link I'm on it ...

$2 billion is humor, nothing else. Without China and Russia it's impossible.
Top Gun: Maverick ... worldwide: $1.5 billion @ the very best ... most likely around 1.3

Indeed, it does look like Elvis is still in the building.
That's an awesome accomplishment.

I wish Hangman would be dog fighting the last pilot. I thought they gave him the shaft.

He gets to save the day, tho. Seems like the perfect resolution to his character arc.

Who's the villain in the movie; is it Russia, China or North Korea?

Could it be Iran?

I don't think it's even remotely realistic to assume any of the first 3, they would be risking nuclear retaliation.

Not sure about Iran, tho.

Well thatsvit for me, no point in trying to predict anything anymore. A post pandemic sequel to a cheesy nearly 40 year old movie is gonna make about a billion and a half. Crazy. Well deserved but crazy. What's next, Uwe Boll making a good film? Malick making something that doesn't send me to sleep?

The enemy plane is actually the SU-57 from Russia but don't tell them that.

I don't think Russia would approve of any unauthorized cloning of planes...

Top Gun 2 is playing in Russia or not?
It's not playing in China, and neither in North Korea and Iran.

They're are villains anyway, including a bunch more.
_____

As for Elvis vs Maverick ... the total revenues for the weekend; Elvis won.
