Well that's a minefield in itself, because cinemas can't be relied upon to project standard screens properly any more, but the problem is ultimately the format: There is too much light leakage. You might as well go watch a film in a regular screen and shine a torch on the screen. You can't control ambient light in this format, and that is ultimately the death of proper projection.

It's great that you have enjoyed your ScreenX experiences, and I have no problem imagining that your local cinema does a better job of projecting than my local fleapit, but for you to sit there and type "alleged" like leakage when we are talking about a format that literally places two reflective screens either side of another reflective screen, tells me you either do not understand the most rudimentary properties of both light and film projection, or you're just being deliberately obtuse because you don't like the fact that I'm criticising a format you enjoy. Methinks it is probably the latter!
