That's not a bad score. Any film that scores 3 stars is a fair rank.
With a small percentage of around 4% it doesn't dent the majority.

* By the way, as mentioned many times in the past, I agree that having half star in the ranking would be a more accurate representation of the member's overall scores.
It's a large gap 20% (say between 60 and 80%). I think we are more precise than that in our movie critics.

Rented this movie yesterday and enjoyed the hell out of it!

I like that scene where

[Show spoiler] Maverick steals the F-14. Love the nostalgia from ‘86.

Amazing movie. One of the best sequels that I have ever seen. Wow!

This is being re-released at AMC Theatres as a $5 Fan Fave this week! I didn't get to see this before so I plan on watching it on Wednesday.

That scene was fun. I don't know how Rooster didn't know about the extending wings though, to me that'd be like a professional rally racer seeing an 80s car today and being astonished that the headlights pop up. Don't they teach any respect for the OGs in Top Gun these days?

I refrained from renting/buying from a streaming service and have been waiting for this release for what seems like forever. I finally picked my copy up yesterday but haven't had a chance to watch anything until today, and what do I pop into the player? The Terminator. And after that, T2.

I don't know if you're messing with me , but instead of watching Maverick after I'd waited all these months to buy it since last seeing it in the theater, the first chance I get to watch something after buying it, I end up watching T1 and T2 instead. That was it.

Yeah, I just checked and it is still playing today and all week in my area as well, meaning Maverick has some wind left in his wings.
It won't make much money anymore now but depending on how long it stays in theaters (say few more weeks) it might end up with $717 million, just

And Worldwide it should reach $1.486 billion, just a bit over.

This was a ton of fun. While I’m bummed I missed it on IMAX, the 4K transfer is easily one of the best I’ve seen.
