Thanks. That was pretty cool to see him jump out of the plane like it was nothing. Hopefully he was able to stabilize his spin freefall but it looks like he knows what he's doing.

I wonder if this is them working on a sequel or something.

On the topic of that title, George A Romero was originally going to call Land of the Dead, "Dead Reckoning", named after the military armored truck in the film.

Watched it today. I know my opinion will be in the minority - I just wasn't all that impressed with the movie. Too much nostialga IMO. Yes the action scenes are spectacular, no question. But much of it was unbelievable.

This is Born to Fly, China's answer to Top Gun: Maverick.

It was "delayed" from it's original release date, supposedly so they could work on it some more. But now the scuttlebutt is that it's been Batgirled because of how bad it is in comparison to Top Gun, and they didn't want to be ridiculed.

I have to say, in an era where the all-too-common complaint leveled against CGI-heavy movies is "it looks like a PlayStation 5 game", it's refreshing to see a movie that looks like a PlayStation 3 game.

Finally got my 4K steelbook and was able to watch it with four of the guys last night.

Overall we all enjoyed it. Probably one of the best movies we've watched in the past year. The biggest issue that we all mentioned in our post-viewing conversation was the fact that they used too many things from the original Top Gun.

My rating is 4.5/5

The movie was better than the original, better script, good casting too, and the music didn't need to be so important like the first one. I am really surprised about the product in times like this.

Well, if he wins Cinematography this year, it won't be as undeserved as his "Life of Pi" win since the cinematography in this was actual cinematography and not a parade of CGI imagery.

True, the cinematography in Maverick is impressive.
But the cinematography in 'All Quiet on the Western Front' by James Friend is even more impactful to these eyes.
