Given how few Pulsars have been available for years due to an always limited supply (< about 35 or so for the entire world) and that you can’t buy one (only rent), people that bring you the movies have been waiting just as long, or longer, for this - https://flandersscientific.com/news/...article=071421

Ok Huck, here's my simple straight-to-the-point question:
What exactly seems to be an awful lot of misinformation about the picture floating around lately?

You know, I haven’t read all websites discussing Top Gun: Maverick, nor for that matter all of this thread, but it’s fairly easy to verify any information related to the production of this movie, by anyone who works for the DoD –

or simply service members on one of the bases or carriers . Heck, even neighbors for shooting locations in certain neighborhoods, e.g. 1481 W Paseo Del Mar San Pedro, CA. can verify what need be. And actually, since I think a couple months back the production agreement itself between Paramount Pictures and the Navy was obtained vis-ŕ-vis the Freedom of Information Act (80+ pages, if memory serves) now extremely easy by anybody to refute significant misstatements by anyone.

So, let’s all get back to the intent of this thread which is promoting the movie and offering awareness/assistance to those who may go to see it rather than veiled accusations as there is too much of that on social media anyway.

for that ^ side by side shot not mentioned in the promotions, yet, but I’ll have folks know that to be in frame, Tom clocked a speed of 80+ mph and the F/A-18 ~ 140 mph.

This is a wide angle shot (taken with a humble cellphone ) for perspective of the runway with the dual-seater F/A-18 jet piloted by Vern (now retired Navy), Tom on the Kawasaki (arrowed in red) and the black chase camera car behind him –

Tom rode the bike , but so as not to marginalize anyone bringing success to the production or afterwards, fans should be aware of some of the crew, like ‘Rafe’ (Jimmy N. Roberts) who’s father (J.N.) was a legend in offroad motorcycle racing and Jimmy, being quite successful in his own right -

In case anyone is heading down to San Diego for a red-carpet event associated with Top Gun: Maverick, might I recommend the Coronado Island Marriott Resort & Spa – https://www.marriott.com/en-us/hotel...nd-spa/photos/ . The rooms having bay views are excellent.

Priciest, but worth it, are the secluded and spacious cottages, where the kids after waking up in the morning, can step out onto each cottage's private patio and, if they’re lucky, see the ducks stroll on by or come up to you begging for food.

Also, when taking the short, picturesque ferry ride to and fro from ‘the island’ and the event, you never know who you might bump into –

for those who didn’t catch her ^ and Tom together on the bike for the movie on what was it? W 40th St. in Los Angeles, if memory serves.

Hey Penton, question for you (or anyone who knows anything). Tonight I saw the trailer at a Dolby Cinema. And for the first time I noticed grain. A lot of grain. More than the Nope trailer that followed it, which I know was shot on film. And even more than The Northman, which was also shot on film. But we all know this was shot on Venice.

Does anyone remember it being so grainy two years ago? Or is it new? I know Kosinski basically locked the film back then and said in an interview that he wasn’t going to fiddle with it with all his extra time. So do you think they added a regular digital grain emulation to match the original movie back then. Or do you think it’s possible that Cruise, being the film enthusiast, saw Dune and The Batman and decided to do a film out like them?

Ukraine Top Gun #2

"Apparently, Kawasaki Motors Corp. press launch additionally embody an attention-grabbing picture, that includes the nostril part of a modern, stealthy, hypersonic plane (with “Captain Pete Mitchell ‘Maverick’” written on the canopy rail) and, once again, we can’t however discover it appears to have been impressed by the idea photos of the SR-72, launched by Lockheed Martin in 2013.

Unofficially dubbed the “Son of Blackbird“, the Lockheed SR-72, a successor to the long-lasting SR-71, is an unmanned hypersonic intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance and strike platform designed for Mach 6. Little or no is understood about this plane in addition to some alleged sightings, rumoured once in a while, a presumed date for a primary flight probably in 2025, and a potential form teased in a USAF video final yr.

Anyway, hypersonic stealth aircraft apart, with all of the flying scenes, the presence of an F-14 dogfighting with Russian Su-57 plane (see tweet under), let’s hope “Top Gun: Maverick” retains up with the all of the expectations!"
