#1 I voted for From Here to Eternity
The remaining 3, The City of Lost Children, It Happened One Night and The Guns of Navarone. I think they have probably have an ideal already what they want to be in the set, but are trying to get an idea of what older titles collectors desire most. There a few titles I find questionable, but overall it is great list of titles to choose from. |

Another title I would like SONY to release on 4K eventually would be WILD THINGS
I believe some of the film always suffered from film weave or telecine wobble. |

and also a classic like Last Year at Marienbad. All three titles with encoding from David M on 4K would be must owns. |

It needs to be acknowledged how much of a bummer it is that House of Flying Daggers wasn’t listed. It wasn’t listed on that questionnaire Sony put out awhile back either.
A visual feast like that, and it doesn’t even have an adequate blu-ray release like most of the films listed here. |

A very hard decision on question 2
Question 1 was absolutely A Matter of Life and Death, a film I absolutely think would shine on the format. Question 2 I went for The Craft, Night of the Living Dead and Guns of the Navaronne. Seeing Marie Antoinette there made me a bit sad that Lost in Translation is with Universal, who I really really hope bring it to 4K at some point |

Anatomy of a Murder
The Caine Mutiny Fright Night Gilda A Matter of Life and Death would have gotten the Gilda slot but I totally overlooked it ![]() And I never even thought of using the comment field for a write in. I think I need a nap or something ![]() |

Did anyone but me vote for Krull? I also picked Fright Night and Real Genius. For the older movies A Matter of Life and Death. I asked in the comments for more catalogue horror titles and to include original audio plus Atmos for the older stuff.

I say after the previous survey we definitely have been getting a lot more 4K catalogue titles from them. District 9, Whiplash, 21/22 Jump Street, to name a few.
So it definitely works. Last edited by Leonidas King; 08-13-2020 at 02:05 AM. |
