The Adventures of Baron Munchausen is a very interesting choice. I've been waiting for Criterion to release it but I'll gladly take a 4k in the meantime.

I was excited on their last poll to see that Silverado and Matilda were on their radar and voted for both. Concerned that they weren't present in this poll.
Not sure if those that were on the list last time that aren't on the new one are no longer being considered...I hope that isn't the case. |

If Krull comes to pass I would love a full isolated score with all the tracks found on the LaLaLand release; perhaps a version subtly mixed in Atmos. Clearly that will never happen but one can dream.
I waited years to find a legitimate copy for a reasonable price and thankfully LLL actually did a reissue fairly recently and for any James Horner / Krull fans it is worth it at the asking price. -The Super Tracks Music Group version can do in a pinch but I find the mastering to be more pleasing on the LLL version. They didn't overcook the mix with excessive dynamic range compression. ![]() [Show spoiler] Silverado and Matilda would also be great 4K catalog titles. |

The Craft! (that would sure be a jump since the BDs all use an old DVD master)
*gotta put Little Women 1994 and 2019 out no? *Terminator 3 The Other Boleyn Girl *The Legend Of Zorro *Sleepless In Seattle Into The Blue Cruel Intentions (1999) Wild Things *Gattacca Excess Baggage Fly Away Home To Die For Beyond Rangoon The Net *The Next Karate Kid *A River Runs Through It The Adventures of Milo and Otis *When Harry Met Sally... *The Karate Kid Part III *The Last Emperor *St. Elmo's Fire *Just One of the Guys The New Kids (Sheena,The Blue Lagoon,Return To The Blue Lagoon) (I'm really surprised that none of the ones with "*", at the least, made the second list on the survey at all. But even most of the others above seem more popular/or better use of UHD than a good many of their second list. Seems a bit strange, since many of their already released catalog titles on UHD seemed more expected.) I have to confess I haven't seen any or even heard of many of those on the first list. Looking up trailers on youtube I did realize I have seen excerpts of Lost Horizon (1937) on PBS Classic Arts Showcase that runs late at night on some channels. Seems kinda cool, but hard to think it would make much use of UHD. In the end decided to toss vote for Picnic, seems like it might make better use of UHD than many of the others. For the second part I voted for: The Craft the other choices were all far from my first next choices for UHD but went with: So I Married An Axe Murderer I I Know What You Did Last Summer Last edited by WBMakeVMarsMovieNOW; 08-15-2020 at 04:02 AM. |
