Fabulous, not only do I have to give up my personal set of Spidey movies, I now find out that I’ve got to pay postage to a different country!

Why couldn’t you have lived in a more provincial place like Elsinore?

Yeah, I'll enjoy teasing him every time Arsenal wins a match……..esp., against the Spurs.

P.S.
Hey, to all those “rad” Olympic viewers out there, tune in tonight? for the BMX finals which are scheduled, I think.
The sport has its roots in SoCal motocross racing from the late ’60’s.
In fact, if anyone here can tell me the name of the fellow (shown in this quintessential motorcycle movie) who is popping a wheelie at the end of this clip, and who later went on to become a very successful motocross racer…………
I’ll send them the Spider-Man three pack set.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCbtE...eature=related
Quite a lot has changed since then, as you can see.
Just too much for words alone.
Ahhh. I have allways wondered about the avatar. I as well grew up on Malcom, DeCoster, Weil, Tripes, Lakey, DiStefano, Bell, Smith, Hannah, Monarchs, Maicos, CZs and Saddleback and Indian Dunes.

Now I know. And yes, times have changed too much. Too much air, not enough acceleration.

Peace

Suffice it to say that if I do post it will most likely be in the games section...
Congratulations on the promotion!

Keep in mind that your knowledge of Blu-ray developments will undoubtedly remain much greater than that of us non-insiders, so we'll hope to hear from you once in a while!

I did not realize that Marty changed his name to Malcolm. Very interesting and now it makes sense with that motorcycle gear with the same name.
Uhh.....Didnt happen. 2 different men.

Yeah, congrats on the promotion Max.
It's always been good having you around to keep us posted on what you could tell us.
And good luck to Spurs for this season. Looks like you might need it

I couldn’t have put it better myself , except perhaps to say ….not enough racing.

In regards to off-road racing in general, something that Steve McQueen (http://www.motorcyclemuseum.org/hall...age.asp?id=227)
never achieved when he competed in the I.S.D.T. (due to an idiot spectator riding the course in the opposite direction – at him)

I will always cherish …………….

Well, if it makes you feel any better I *am* American. I would think that British Columbia would qualify since it is a province after all. That and I'm not Danish.

Oh, and your Spidey set will be very well taken care of. I've been a Spider-Fan since the 70's, and I take exemplary care of my discs.

Max, we better see SCEJ come strong and really put some major effort into the PS3 once you're back on. We also want you to push sony into buying Atlas and Level 5, along with a new sequel to Wild Arms, Xenogears and more.

p.s. - hi penton! =)

Penton,
You got a gold at ISDT!
We are not worthy
Can't think of a much more difficult and challenging achievement in an off road motorcycling event than that.

Would it be possible for Sony to reduce the size of the time bar that appears on screen when you press rewind (eg. on Spiderman 3)? Could it be made to fit entirely in the black bars instead of being positioned on top of the movie picture?

Also, for the first 5 or 6 seconds it's duplicating the information that the huge time bar on my Samsung player already shows on screen in the top 3rd of the screen (though that disappears after 5-6 seconds).

Would it be possible for all titles, even the Java ones, to please be encoded so that they are able to resume play after a stop?

Holy smokes. Is that really your ISDT Gold? What year did you win? 250, 175, 350s???

I lived and breathed National and International MX, but still followed and admired Trials/enduros....Especially the six days.

Sorry, all you get is the following pic (the maid took me ole helmet off the desk in order to dust)……….as any more information would be far too revealing.

You should recognize the significance of the colors and the configuration of the white stripes.

Bell didn’t give these out to any Joe6Pack.

The Blu-ray.com owners and some of the mods here may recognize the glass structure under the helmet.

It’s the memento that I was awarded by you folks near the end of the format war.
See---the gift ended up in fine company.

EDIT got it Is this correct? its crazy how some people as soon as they seen any kind of fliker twinkly(haha) thing on the screen its......
Take pirates of the carribian for example, i see what looks like grain but is that what it is? what am i looking at? grain or video noise?
To complete your previous query..........

Without knowing the history of the capture device used, many times it is indeed difficult to visually differentiate film grain from noise because there can be so much over-lap in their appearance.

Two rough guidelines may be of aid if you’re into this sort of stuff; otherwise, I wouldn’t fret it.
1. Video noise (to most experienced examiners) is more apparent in the darker areas of a frame, whereas film grain is generally more apparent in the mid-tone colors.
2. Film grain seems to randomly swirl around and appears ‘gritty’ whereas video noise appears a little more stationary in position and looks to almost shimmer or sparkle (i.e. it looks more *electronic* when you eye-ball it). It can be darker, brighter or different colored than the contiguous image structure.

And of course, some film "purists" [who appreciate a heck of a lot more about film (as their credentials include Film Editor/ Film Director/ Film Historian) than the forensic screenshot scientists who live in a video world,] think of and have referred to exceptional presentations with words like this….

"I had not seen new 65mm material since the Super Dimension 70 demos, and though not at 48 fps, this looked TERRIFIC!!! The detail you could see was breathtaking. Little grain was visible, and I was sitting in the seventh row."
From paragraph 3 of a link that I previously provided………………..
