I too thought the third movie was decent in and of itself and I have no problems owning it on BD.

You're not alone.

I loved the first two so much that I thought the third was actually pretty good. It didn't have the excellence of the second, but it was still quite good and not a bad closing for the trilogy. I don't really see how a person could just own the first two and not the third.

This is a box set that I won't miss!
Finally the classics are being released on Blu! I was kinda tired of so many silly, dull and ludicrous summer blockbusters being almost the only titles available on Blu-ray.

God! I totally disagree that this is some kind of must-have. This trilogy was the biggest waste of movie watching time I've ever experienced. Why do people love these films, can anybody give me their reasons why, cuz I just can't seem to care any less for these.

To throw my own nickel into the mix, I think the first was the best, and the second was a close...second.

The third actually isn't horrible, but it's not much above average. It unfortunately is hurt by being associated with the first two.

It's like an average looking girl, who actually looks somewhat attractive, standing next to two of the finest supermodels in the world.

Probably not...since you have seen them and obviously going to disagree with whatever might be explained to you from this point on.

Why is the third not being restored?

This is a diss from the studio itself..

On the press release on the home page it says the films will be released individually as well as the box set.

On Amazon they just have the boxset up for pre-order.

Are they still going to be releasing the films individually?

I just want to buy the 1st one.

Unless a negative is damaged, it doesn't have to be "restored"

dvd box sets are far to chunky hence why and many other reasons ppl will favor the blu-ray over the dvd box set. Of course not every one will have or want to to spend $119 dollars but this should come down to about 50-70 dollars by next xmas and should get stronger sales over time cause this set is not just your average run of the mill it's going to be a big seller for a long time. It would be so cool if they offered the set free with a blu-ray player to.
