We went to walmart yesterday and I asked the electronics dude that was there:

Me: "Can we check it out?"
Him: "Sure, if you can reach through glass." (The iPad was in a display case with the ones for sale below.)
Me: "Pardon Me?"
Him: "If you can reach through the glass, go ahead and check it out."
Me: "That's a pretty dumb thing to say to someone who wants to buy one eh?"
