The early seasons are great.... once the actual Adam Goldberg left, it went down in quality, but I think it was still worth watching.

I'd say skip the last season, it offers literally nothing. They did dumb sitcomy things to keep the show on air and having all the cast stay and the characters all so close to home.

So it didn’t get a proper series finale?

Nvm: I just read up on it. I guess it really didn’t get a true finale. Just a tacked-on montage at the end.

The show should've ended well before, but definitely with the previous season.
[Show spoiler]Adam graduated, Then in the last season they killed off the dad and Adam stayed home instead of going to college, which probably was an easy way to keep him around because they'd have found another way to keep him around otherwise since he wouldn't be leaving the cast.

Yeah, I can't disagree with this notion. The last season felt like everyone involved simply wanted another season of paychecks. It didn't feel necessary at all. OVERALL, I still loved the series, but it definitely went out with a whimper.

I would just like to know why they haven't released the last 4 seasons on DVD? Even though the last four weren't the greatest (7 & 8 were good, then 9 & 10 went downhill), I still want the complete series to own after buying the first 6 seasons. Hell, I would like to own the 2 seasons of SCHOOLED, even though they kinda ruined the canon of it with the last two seasons of The Goldbergs, it was a fun show.
