It would be great if they could include the short "Waiting for Gorgo" as a special feature.

This promises to be a definitive release -- perhaps in March 2013.

Oh Gorgo, I remember that one. I saw it on TV years ago thanks to my sister. I think it was on the Sci-Fi Channel and it wasn't the MST3k version either.

This is actually one of the better movies that got the Mystery Science Theater treatment. I think I'd be up for tackling it without the riffs. Here's hoping for a good release!

Thanks for the heads up OP! I just bought the DVD of this last year ... haven't even opened it yet. With the bluray on the way, it looks like I never will.

(The DVD will make a great gift for somebody else).

Hope they end up doing an okay job with this. On the plus side, I'm pretty sure the DVD I have isn't anamorphic widescreen, so this should at least fix that if nothing else.

Amazon pre-order price dropped to $14.99, $14.24 in my Gold Box. I'm keeping an eye on Import CDs, as their price will likely mirror that of DD.
