Yes, it's fun! Another benefit of 4K discs is that they're 99,9% region-free!
If only there weren't those costly import fees...

I think at the moment its easier for US people to import because the value of the Euro and the Pound have tanked. At the moment the pound to dollar is getting on for 1:1, conversely, it now makes importing from the US an expensive game.

I know. I was just making a general comment. Sometimes, I think I import movies more than I buy domestically, or at least it used to be that way.

I bit. Couldn't help myself. Won't have it for a couple weeks, but really looking forward to revisiting it.

Got my copy today from Amazon today. Of course the 4K was floating and bouncing around inside. Aside from a slashed spine, the Steel is in decent shape and the artwork looks better in person. A bit of a bummer Sony is no longer doing inside artwork though.

I have not watched the first Sony release in some time but I thought this looked rather good. Grain was consistent throughout until the end scene when Zim captures the bug.

I'll dig into it a bit more when I have some time tomorrow and compare to the '17 disc.

It's Sony's new policy to not include the commentaries on the 4K disc, and this was breaking that rule, so they had to be removed.

It's so weird how they try to include as many extras as they can find on these re-issues, but commentaries on the actual 4K disc, something that actually makes sense, is still a no.

It's literally the same disc included as the previous combo and standalone BD release from 2008.

Yup. Even has the '08 date stamp. Identical.

That’s because the UK Blu-ray was distributed by Disney, not Sony.

Not a fan of po-op art Steels in general but tempted going by the tech specs of the re-release.

Here's passing after taking a look at the caps (the compression is better) and my old disc in motion again: Don't need/will look the same to me in motion and I don't like the Masters of the Universe artwork at all.

It's also nice that the caps guys added more caps than there were before. Thx to unknown.

Even the compression looks close to me on those caps. The old disc had the original soundtrack as well?
