It's a grading suite, it doesn't reencode anything if you don't want it to. Using the Dolby Vision tools someone could generate their own metadata from an HDR10 grade and append it to the file as per these other homebrew remuxes.

Article & video by Dolby showing how to generate DV metadata for HDR10 in Resolve

That part is fairly simple. The complicated part is selecting your desired Dolby Vision profile and then "injecting" the RPU into the HDR10 file with command line tools. There are forums dedicated to this rabbit-hole if you're genuinely interested.

Just picked this up. It is a slight picture upgrade over the old 4k. Colours and highlights seem improved, could be also placebo but some of the grain seems more refined on the new release to my eyes.

One thing to note is that the commentaries are not on the new disc. That's a huge disappointment for me. I hate it when studios don't carry existing commentaries over to new 4k discs. The new "25th anniversary reunion" special feature is one of those disappointing zoom meeting style ones. While kind of enjoyable, Im not sure I would have preferred keeping that over the commentaries.
