The important thing is hospitalization numbers not cases since the increase in testing will boost cases and some days will simply have more processed tests. The meat plants have made the numbers a lot worse too. We have done well in Edmonton but we had worse weather than Calgary so that helped keep people in. Traffic levels have really gone up the last few days as well as multiple neighbors have had large gatherings in their backyards to fire up the grills. So I have a bad feeling a big Edmonton spike is going to come. The low numbers here are creating too much false confidence.

Any re-opening is gonna come with strict conditions for social distancing and wearing PPE so when they protest huddled up next to each other without any it only proves they're not ready.

What a coincidence. A 2016 episode of Family Guy about a bat causing Quahog to go into quarantine is extremely relevant in times like these

CNN had the whole interview posted on youtube recently.

I especially love the part where Mayor Goodman said 'you're talking disease. I'm talking life and living' and the fun retort by Anderson Cooper 'ok that makes no sense' at 18:46

Sweet Zombie Jesus, think of all the people blowing on the dice at a craps table, pulling slot machine levers, pawing over their cards at blackjack all in a large area with recycled air.

They're saying if you have to go on one, it's like an 80% chance you die.

That 5% must have "essential" jobs, like members of the government, ministers, diplomats, executive businessmen, oil industry workers, ...
Airplanes are the ideal environment for Corona. Corona just love to travel airlifted.

One of the reasons many people prefer to take a chance and stay home.
And the ones who die @ home they are not added to the number of confirmed Coronavirus death's tally.
No testing no confirmation no count no very important accurate data for the health expert scientists to predict where we're going and what works and not.

It's like a pandemic without beginnings and ends.

* Canada's total: 2,077 (April 22).

These were older veterans. I can speak with experience that if you are in a VA hospital at an older age you have severe medical issues. IMO these type of anti hydroxychloroquine articles surve a hidden agenda.

Below is a quote to counter the above article:

Quote:
Veterans Affairs’ Robert Wilkie on yesterday’s hydroxychloroquine study: "That’s an observational study. It’s not a clinical study ... We know the drug has been working on middle-age and younger veterans. And the gov of NY was just in the Oval Office yesterday asking for more"
Guys, if you don't realize that there are people/groups that do not have your best interest at heart, then I can tell you, "Don't believe every thing you read and hear."

Is it a good idea for businesses to try and reopen at this time? Several in my state are trying to.

I'd say it depends on how well they can enforce social distancing and still maintain some level of profit.
