The paper return you filed just means you were trying to submit the info (as told by media, newspapers, etc.) so you would get your stimulus check, but since they shut down paper returns it it wouldn't have changed the form of payment (paper check) that the IRS is giving out to "zero-filers".

Now if you had zero income at all (no form of gov't payments, no income at all, and obviously under the limit) or negative-income (it can happen with Schedule C business losses or Schedule D capital losses) there's the question of whether they would send a check. But I'm assuming you had some form of income that was under the filing requirement limit, right?

IIRC, you didn't file in 2018 (IRS checks 2018 and 2019).

Also, what electronic preparer did you use? Because I don't know of any major preparer (TurboTax, etc.) that recommends sending in a paper return, most just let you submit an electronic return even though you're not required to.

I used intuit TurboTax to file. They said I had to send in my returns by mail due to certain lines being zero. I have no idea what that was about. So after it was prepared I had to print them out to mail them in.

They said supposedly that glitch where you couldn't enter 0 when submitting your direct deposit info under "get my payment" was fixed. No idea because I can't even get in to find out.

Good for you. I guess you also don't mind spreading it to older people or those with compromised immune systems like my girlfriend? So nice to know so many of us are doing our best to bring the curve down while others just want to go back out and undo everything we've done.

PLEASE give me ONE example of misinformation I'm spreading. love to hear it. i never said young people cant get it and die. i said the reality is, the chances of that happening are VERY low. VERY VERY VERY low...you then go on to change the topic and mix it into the coversation. i dont want to get it. i dont want to spread it. im doing everything i should be in order to not get it or spread it. but im not going to deny the fact that the chances from dying from it for MOST people is very low.

question for you. lets assume a vaccine will not be made. whats your plan then? everyone stays at home the rest of their lives? or, do you believe herd immunity could potentially be an option? genuinely asking.

why at some point cant the general population SLOWLY and WITH GUIDELINES go back to life while the vulnerable remain at home? why is that such an insane idea?

I avoid old people, I wear a mask, I social distance.

Everything "we've" done? I've done the same exact things to help decrease the curve. But now it's time to let those who want and need to go back to work, back to work.

I certainly believe that the wet shops need to go away, however, I don't believe the virus originated there. I tend to believe the reports that it originated in a lab and it got out of control....

Regardless if COVID-19 ultimately came from a wet market or not, said markets are always a disaster on standby. They need to be addressed.

It's not much better stateside. Look at how we "treat" livestock here. They even had to address a bird flu incident in SC this month.
