Was in our Costco store on Friday, yes TP was all gone again!
What's up with bottled water. Saw people with 2 - 6 36 paks in their carts?
Nothing is wrong with most peoples' tap water. Right?

It may indeed be happening in some places again, but them using a photo from April is misleading.

You might be talking about a different article you read (mentioned in your post) because all of the photos in the article I linked were from Nov 17.

But lots of knee-jerk reactions to those earlier articles meant many stores banning them.
The problem is wearing poor protection really can be worse then wearing no protection. When they told people masks helped I saw most people I know cut the distance they social distance by about 33%. It’s been near 8 months now we really should be requiring higher quality masks at this point. The longer this goes the more reluctant people are to social distance and quarantine so we need to people to start using better gear at a minimum to maintain even the same level of safety.

Hope you qualify for getting a vaccine early Steed, not just to protect yourself and others, but devoting oneself to the care of others with or without a pandemic is an honorable, unselfish job which takes a lot of patience.

Single-layer polyester gaiters are a terrible choice because of large gaps in the weaving of the fabric. A single Coronavirus virion is about 100 nanometers. That's about 1/1,000th the width of a human hair. Additionally, having it "around my neck" seems to indicate that you're touching it too much by pulling it up & down. The only time you should touch your mask is twice; when putting it on & when taking it off, & you're supposed to take it off by grabbing only the ear loop strings.

With an effective mask, some Coronavirus virions will get trapped by the mask fabric instead of going through the fabric, that's why you're not supposed to touch your mask. If you do, you risk getting the virus on your hands, then if you rub your eyes &/or touch your mouth &/or nose then you risk infecting yourself. If you can't stop touching your mask, then carry hand sanitizer & use it after every time you touch your mask to reduce the risk of potential self-infection.

Some good info there! Thanks for sharing that. I mentioned it was around my neck meaning I just always have it on me so I never forget it. I agree that I touch it way too much but I use a lot of hand sanitizer.

These are projections for Canada...total cases and deaths, daily deaths and daily new cases, etc. / Scroll down for daily new cases, and examine the graph, plus you can interact by checking each date, past, present and future, etc. / This particular one is from Worldometer, but there are many more based on scientific data and from experts @ the Johns Hopkins University, Canadian Health Agency which I reported yesterday, etc.

https://covid19.healthdata.org/canad...aths&tab=trend

A model based on past history is not automatically a future indicator, but that's what we have, it's part of science. I remember not long ago Dr. Fauci saying that the US could see 100,000 new cases per day. We are now double that ...

The World Health Organization had an article that I posted not that long ago, when there were 40 million cases in the world; they said that you can multiply that number by roughly 20. So, at that time it meant roughly 800 million.
Today we have 60 million (roughly) confirmed cases. Do the math.

A third vaccine (70% efficient) was just announced last night, early this morning. It's cheaper too (more affordable).

Some countries can survive without vaccines, others not.
Vaccine immunity in the world? That, is the question ... this pandemic started March 11, 2020 (officially), roughly 4 months short of a year.
So to develop vaccines that super fast @ warp speed is something never seen before.
We'll take anything, everything, to keep us "grounded".

You might want to check out gaiters from Buff. They have a specific gaiter produced for times like this that uses a filter insert etc. I use their facemask for my workouts. Quality products.

I am not an expert on face masks; I watched the news like everyone else.
I was talking about the importance of wearing face masks as early as Mid/End January.
...Not here, other places. And I got support from people in Bangkok, and China.

We have posted several articles as to which ones are best.
Next year we'll post articles about which vaccines seem to work best ...

An article I've read last night on face masks.
Read whatever you want to make of it; you are 100% free of your own thoughts.
https://theconversation.com/face-mas...now-why-147912

My personal opinion; Chirurgical N95 masks are best, and disposable surgical masks (blue generally, or pink or white) are second best. I'm not telling people what to do, what to wear or not...it's only lives of others and ours that are on the line. ...Mom, Dad, sis, bro, wife, husband, ...the entire world family...7.8 billion brothers and sisters and mothers and fathers and children.
Without a healthy population there's no wealthy money in the bank vaults of the economy, zero.

We’ve learned much more about SARS-CoV-2 since last April, but the mantra of clean hands with touching/adjusting your mask still holds true -

Please, I'm guessing a disturbing majority of the people complaining and saying they're over following the COVID19 regulations weren't following them to begin with.

Yes, hand washing is very important & I prefer soap & water, but that's problematic while out in public, especially if you're trying to avoid public restrooms, which I do. I always carry a small 2 oz. bottle of sanitizer in my pocket when out shopping etc. I've gotten really good now at not ever touching my mask once it's on so I'm using a bit less sanitizer as a result.

My heart goes out to you & your family Penton-Man concerning your loss. One of my best friends' mother passed away from COVID-19 last week.

I think get togethers are the biggest cause of infections & not businesses. ( Thats how my family got it)

Closing businesses will won't help.
