BB has them all available online.
Oddly enough, Gremlins is $2 more than all the others at $21.99

When should I expect the price to go down, I'm not really a fan of the Gremlins movies. I just want to see Chris Walas and the new documentary so bad.

You got me! I know these were $16.99 at BB on release, so maybe they might drop.

They are lucky then. I looked at my local Wal-Mart and was unable to find it. I even went there on the release day and they were like "sometimes it takes a few days to get things in" I almost asked the guy if they had any in the back but he probably would have found some excuse not to do it.

Got my copy via Amazon last week, love the packaging! Totally worth the double dip. Might have to bite for other Diamond Luxe releases now

Talking "Do you hear what I hear?"

Just watched this again ('tis the season), and I'm still not understanding why the video quality gets such a bad rep. The blacks are a bit thin and it's clearly not some razor-sharp new scan off of the neg, but the colour's really nice and there's still plenty of fine detail, I never noticed the wires on the decomposing Stripe puppet until now. It's Warners, so as always it could do with more bits to help out the grain, but overall I liked what I saw. The sound's pretty active too.

[edit]From the age of the movie and from the looks of it I guessed that Gremlins was shot on 5293 (confirmed with a glance at IMDB) which was never the prettiest looking high-speed stock and didn't deliver especially contrasty images. Even anamorphic with its bigger negative area struggled with it (see Tootsie), never mind something shot in Academy and matted down to 1.85 which Gremlins was. So the movie will always look a bit rough around the edges and Warners current Blu-ray encode does about as good a job as could be expected IMO.

The film itself is as brilliant as ever, it's laden with scares and laughs and more easter eggs than a genre fan could count. I love the little montage in Dorry's tavern the most, with the flasher, the Stevie Wonder gag, the dude at the table drowning his sorrows cheered up with a hand puppet, the one dressed like a gangster's moll during the poker game, I'm laughing even as I'm typing this. Wonderful film.

My favorite bit is still the Snow White sing-along. Even Billy is stunned when he tells Kate that they love it. BTW, I'd seen the movie I don't know how many times on HBO and video back in the 80's, but I'd never heard the gremlin sitting in the theater next to Stripe saying "Milk Duds" over and over again til now.

I always forget that when Billy says "thanks Mr Jones" to the guy in the bar looking at his drawings, that's THE Chuck Jones. Awesome.

Sorry, but I think the BEST scene in this movie (a classic in its self), is the kitchen scene with Billy's mom. That scene caused so much uproar back in 1984, you'd think civilization would crumble. It was really pathetic, how crazy people got so upset, over violence in a movie.

I saw Ghostbusters after Gremlins, and for whatever reason, hated it. I did like Ghostbusters II, go figure.

Gremlins really deserves a much more packed collector's edition.

My favorite parts in the movie are the following: the scene in the kitchen, with Billy's mom and the Gremlin blows up! Lol, I know its morbid but that scene just cracked me up so much when I was younger, its still funny even today.

The scene at the movie theater, when the Gremlins are singing along with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Another great scene.

And finally, the scene was so hilarious to me is when the Gremlins terrorized Ms. Deagle and sent her chair rocketing out the window and the aftermath of her body in the snow.

Good thing Dante and Spielberg didn't go with the original idea which was to have the gremlins decapitate Billy's mom.

That bit's great, the movie effortlessly switches into reverse-slasher-movie mode as it's the Mom who's going around the spooky house stalking her prey. And she's Marty McFly's grandmother too!

Yes, the original script and book were pretty scary. Billy's mom is partially eaten, her head thrown down the attic stairs, as Billy approaches.

There was also supposed to be a graphic shot, of the gremlin biting off the guy's hand, when he reaches into the mailbox.

There were quite a few more deaths than what was shown in the movie.

He also appears in Dante's Innerspace, waiting in Martin Short's checkout line.

Yeah on the commentary I remember them saying in the original script that the Gremlins not only killed Billy's Mom but they ate the dog too.
