The Coronavirus is much more than a normal flu.
There's no panic but extreme precautions to stop it spreading globally.
Check the impact today on the stock market, in Italy, in Iran, in South Korea, ...

Flu kills approx 2.8% of infected, coronavirus kills 2-3% of infected (too early for full study).

The flu mortality rate in the U.S. is actually only around 0.02%. So the mortality rate for the coronavirus would be about 100 times higher. Although obviously there are far more flu cases, making the death toll much higher.

Exactly. I have no idea where the 2.8% number comes from, as that's definitely not accurate.

Breaking News from The Guardian - The Norwegian Public Health Agency has announced it's first confirmed positive case of Coronavirus tonight.

Reuters on Twitter are saying that 27 people in New York have been tested negative from the virus to date.

Although over 80 people are being monitored in New York this minute after returning from a recent trip to China.

This virus has also been placing restrictions in Ireland as well. The 6 Nations Rugby matches between Ireland & Italy have been postponed in both Dublin & Cork. They were due to take place between the 6th & 8th of March. There could be a possibility being talked about online that the St Patrick's Day Parades in Ireland & worldwide could also be cancelled because of the Coronavirus.

There has been 90 people that have been tested for Coronavirus in Ireland. All tests officially came back negative for now. Ireland's Department of Health have said that they are currently in a containment phase to avoid the spread of the virus. There is a strong likelihood going from their official advice right now that there could be a positive case of Coronavirus happening in Ireland very soon. A number of Irish students in Secondary school & University have flown back home to Ireland recently after doing ski trips & studying at Erasmus University in Italy. They have been instructed by Irish authorities to self isolate themselves from the public for 14 days as a precautionary measure & call their GP or their emergency numbers if they begin to show symptoms.

The Irish Government have just released an official poster for Irish airports & other major transport hubs which gives advice to people if they have Coronavirus.
