Snow provides great visuals too -

And although the snow is now gone from the meadows, NorCal folks can hike the trail thru one of the previous film locations and enjoy the beautiful scenery….in peaceful serenity.

Tom Cruise’s leather jacket in the ‘Top Gun’ sequel shows just how crucial China is as a movie market

On Thursday, Paramount debuted the first trailer for “Top Gun: Maverick,” a sequel to the much beloved ’80s classic “Top Gun,” at San Diego Comic-Con. By Friday, eagle-eyed fans had spotted one big difference between the iconic leather jacket Tom Cruise wears in the first film and the one he dons in new trailer.

In the new trailer the patches on the back of the jacket no longer bear the Taiwanese and Japanese flags.

b.t.w., to those with eagle eyes, yes, that’s a single seat F/A-18E with Mav’s markings in front on the right as seen in the trailer

P.S.
Since I assume most readers here can’t/wouldn’t be able to afford a jet legally or illegally so, as noted previously for those with a more grounded Need for Speed, a Hollywood Insider reminder reference for restorations, this be a fine shop - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...p#post15625628

a bit tougher than dem patches on the back of Mav’s jacket, for those truly eagle eyes and perhaps a naval background like fellow members Kris Deering or Staying Salty, can anyone identify in the frame grab above as to where the eagle be?

Salty, you do know your flags - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...g#post15563325

And when time permits, I occasionally delve into the advantageous features of the camera seen to Jerry’s right, when mounted in the jets for the aerial sequences, e.g. -

in the barren sand, looking southward, is where the bar seen in the trailer of Top Gun: Maverick was constructed exclusively for use in the movie.

So the end if the trailer showing the neck ring and the helmet we see midway do we know what he is flying?

LG's OLED TV strategy needs to change or face mobile's plight

LG's second quarter profit has been hit hard by declines in OLED TV sales and rival Samsung's QLED onslaught. It's time for LG to drop its over-confidence and pursue a more aggressive pricing model and better warranties for its OLED TVs.

Declines in sales and free exchanges for burn-in

LG's OLED TV growth has stalled dramatically in 2019. According to IHS, LG sold 500,000 units of OLED TVs in the first half of 2017, an impressive increase of 97% from the year prior. In 2018, this rose even further to 1.06 million units, a rise of 112%. But for the first half of 2019, it expects sales of 1.27 million units, only a rise of 20%. In other words, its bullish streak has effectively stopped.
https://www.zdnet.com/article/lgs-ol...obiles-plight/

I have noted in Sam's Club and Costco the Samsung QLED top of the line models now come with a five year warranty and the middle of the line models come with a three year warranty.

a more difficult patch to i.d. for aviation savvy folks to ponder.....with regards to real life fighter jet aviator pictured here (nicknamed ‘Vern’) in action - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...s#post16637309

as well as doing the touch and go’s on the runway next to Tom on the motorcycle at sunset seen in the trailer….can anyone identify the patch seen overlying the right side of Vern’s chest, the day of the shoot?
