Have watched something like a handful of Hallmark Christmas TV films (including the Christmas in Evergreen series), but mainly watch the murder mystery ones (the majority of those are series, like Crossword Mysteries, which unfortunately haven't had Blu-ray releases that I know of).
I check Deep Discount and Moviezyng for physical media releases of Hallmark TV films and series. |

You can also stream I believe all of these on Amazon, Youtube, Vudu, etc. At cost though. Select Lifetime and Hallmark movies become available for streaming a la carte on those sites.

So many Christmas and wedding movies haha. What I really want on blu-ray though are their murder mysteries, like Gourmet Detective or Aurora Teagarden.

I keep an eye out for when any Hallmark Movies and Mysteries TV films are shown on television here (I've only seen them on Channel 5 and Movies 24). Recorded a new one that premiered yesterday afternoon called Inheritance Lost (aka The Jane Mysteries: Inheritance Lost).
It might have appeared on Netflix here like Good Witch (I remember the last season or two of Good Witch being made available on Netflix here), but I haven't seen recent Hallmark series The Way Home (another Hallmark TV series for Andie MacDowell, following Cedar Cove) shown on television here yet. The first season had a DVD-only release in the States with the second season starting on Hallmark later this month (would like to see this series as it sounds good). Have seen the majority of Chesapeake Shores (whose cast included Treat Williams and Barbara Niven (the latter, a Hallmark regular), but not the last season and a bit. It's seasons have had DVD-only releases in the States. |

Unfamiliar with the genre but recall Lori Loughlin being a fixture in them. Shame about her scandal as she has such a bubbly personality and quite frankly maintained an attractive look as well. Her charisma is off the charts compared to the rest of her family.

Might be a tall ask, even though some US Blu-ray releases of Hallmark TV films happen, but I do hope Heaven Down Here gets the same treatment. Saw it around a week ago (recorded from a UK TV airing on Movies 24). It was just the tonic at that point last week, and yet I was hesitant about watching it. Shouldn't have been hesitant. It was a Christmas Hallmark TV film but wasn't one of their romantic TV films (it did have some romantic elements but was mainly a drama). Hardly anything I disliked about it. Loved the setting of the diner with the Christmas/wintry setting.
A new murder mystery TV film premieres on the same channel this coming Saturday afternoon (not the greatest of titles though), CrimeTime: Freefall. |

I should probably put them all on a list and rank them. Might be a fun little project. Update: I did it! [Show spoiler] ![]() Last edited by DaBargainHunta; 03-15-2024 at 04:22 AM. |

I will have a better look through the list you've posted above DaBargainHunta, but from a quick glance at it, Heaven Down Here aside I remember seeing A Biltmore Christmas and Christmas on Cherry Lane in the television listings for either Movies 24 or Channel 5 (haven't seen either yet).

Bryan Greenberg should get more work than he does. I've always liked what I've seen him in. I'm not Jewish but he's the reason I checked out R&R on Peacock and I liked it, the time loop thing worked with the story. I'd buy it as long as it's not BD-R.

Statistically, I'd say that more people have had failed pressed discs than BD-Rs. I've never had a problem with one either, but have some of the Warner Home Video DVDs that no longer play due to poor manufacturing. Recordable Media doesn't deserve to be seen as lesser quality and surely shouldn't be a reason to not support a release. With the "On Demand" model, studios would probably keep things available much longer and we wouldn't have to worry about films going out of print! Then if a burned disc actually failed, you could get a replacement.

The A/V will be the same since they're using the same source files no matter how they transfer it to disc, but BD-R just feels like an official bootleg. |
