US-based AV integration company Just One Touch Video&Audio Center reports that it recently completed the first US residential installation of Samsung's The Wall Professional MicroLED TV.

The 146" 4K installation, done for a client in Los Angeles, was completed in three days. Just One Touch says that Samsung sent its own personnel to assist with this project. Just One Touch has already secured three more installations - in a hotel lobby, in a luxury mega-yacht and at a home of a "Hollywood Star".
I would bet that this needed it’s own NEW electrical sub-panel to power the display and whatever audio system was installed for this room. These modular display installations are crazy power hungry.

Funny you asked Penton; because they all reflect more or less a similar trend...they go down together, and they go up together, in general. For the last three months they all lost ground...roughly couple dozen audio/video websites (the ones I generally follow). There's a slight climb right now that comes with the season...Halloween, for some of the sites, not all.

One thing is certain; Blu-ray forum is one of the top AV sites...much more traffic than all the others from that similar segment of the audio/cinema industry.
And there are many good reasons for that ...

I believe it'll make up for lost ground...back to the 5,000 area eventually.
And it's all other AV sites which lost ground too, and much more than BR Forum.

Some sites are in the 400,000+ range, others in the 100,000+ range...some @ roughly 50,000 and the best around 20,000-25,000 range.
So, @ 5,000-7,000 range BR Forum is better than the best.

The diversification is top here, and the system operation is top notch.
Were you aware? If not now you are.

That is excellent information.

For October, with still three days to go, this HDR discussion thread (including Maverick, the famous pole, Jerry, Chuck doing the split, etc.) has already received over 400,000 views (like you said; passed the 4 billion* views milestone total), and that's not bad @ all just before Halloween...the season of the witch.
...Maleficent: Mistress of Evil / Joker ... and more to come ... Terminator: Dark Fate ...

Default Low Latency Dolby Vision & home theater projectors

"The wait is over!!! I know everyone has wondered and asked and there have also been many questions as to whether we could get Dolby Vision on our home theater projectors. …"
https://www.avforums.com/threads/dol...s-yes.2254350/
https://www.avsforum.com/forum/465-h...rojectors.html

A solution: LLDV or Low Latency Dolby Vision or Player-led Dolby Vision via HDMI interface spoofer HDfury

. Normal LLDV end-to-end system:
Dolby Vision video >> LLDV compliant UHD player >> HDMI >> LLDV compliant interface > LLDV compliant Sony TV

. Spoofed LLDV end-to-end system:
Dolby Vision video >> LLDV compliant UHD player >> HDMI >> LLDV compliant interface > HDfury Vertex > HDR10 compliant interface >> HDMI >> HDR10 compliant home theater projector or TV

.. LLDV compliant UHD player: Dolby Vision decoding & color volume mapping player: UHD Blu-ray player Oppo 203 / 205 or other LLDV compliant UHD player
https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...2#post16604552

Oppo UHD Blu-ray player configured in Player-led Dolby Vision / LLDV / Low Latency Dolby Vision

.. HDfury Vertex
"It is a true 2×2 18Gbps HDMI matrix/spliter/switcher/scaler/converter/audio de-embedder, supporting any HDMI, any HDCP and any HDR up to HDR10+, HLG or Dolby Vision (including LLDV)."

I’ve always liked their apparel and admired their logo ^ - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fox_Racing as well as their aftermarket accessories since back in my university days .

Robert Zohn, if you ever procure this content -> https://www.widescreenreview.com/new...l.php?id=22094 as a side demo for your next shootout, just make sure that you have plenty of food on hand for the attendees as the tart they showed at this exhibit in 8K HDR as well as other far eastern goodies –

looked scrumptious. You don't want hangry guests voting.

Sounds good... are the remedies to mitigate it years away, or something that could happen soon?

Brilliant news. They are quite correct in saying that player-led DV is indeed doing all the tone mapping itself and then sending out the signal in a static 'wrapper', all they have to do is spoof the player into sending out the signal in order to force it. Further reading suggests it's not exactly a set and forget solution (Dolby may have quietly done away with the idea of the pre-installed 'golden reference' but they still have a ballpark figure of what every display can do in order to map it, i.e. you still need a target figure to map to) but then what is with HDR?

Later rather than sooner. There will have to be conversations and validations of the work with scanner manufacturers doing their testing. What was presented was just the beginning.

I don’t know man, something posted on p. 568 sure drew a crowd, maybe everyone loved the pics of the cast and crew in the U.S. Navy's carrier onboard delivery aeroplane posted the day before?

Dunno, she's got a little boy now and I dare say those days are behind her, so to speak.

[edit]

Oh, I see you mentioned unboxing vids there Penton, my mind immediately thought of her other pursuits

That's exactly what it was and that I couldn't put the finger on it.
But you sure did Penton, that you did, all the rewards to those great pics.

Where can we send our regards to the people in those pictures?
