The dual layer approach may get a bit more complicated with HDR10+ as the base, though it probably could be done. |

Will it be difficult to convert dynamic metadata from DV to HDR10+ and vice-versa.
My LG tv supports DV but not HDR10+. Is it possible for a UHD player or portable media player to convert HDR10+ content to DV for future compatibility? |

If you have a TV that already maps static HDR10 adequately and has Dolby Vision then I wouldn't worry, it's only really Fox who will be pursuing dynamic HDR10. Lionsgate, Universal and Sony have already committed to DV on disc, Paramount and Disney are a good bet for DV also.

“Producer Jon Landau, who recently announced that Avatar 2 has started production, had this to say in a statement: “Just as we push innovation with our productions, Christie is continually pushing innovation with their projection technology. Its advances in HDR development, epitomized by the co-development of the Dolby Vision projection solution with Dolby, means better in-theater experiences for audiences, which for exhibitors in turn means greater audience satisfaction and more repeat patrons.” |

Nothing really super unique that conscientious readers of this thread weren’t already at least somewhat familiar with, except maybe for the fact that fellow Blu-ray.com member David M. was there.
