That would be ideal to apeace both HFR supporters and traditionalists who prefer blurry 24fps. Just like we have an option of playing UHDs in either HDR10 or DV, there could be an option to play a UHD in regular frame rate or high frame rate

“Tom already shot scenes in San Diego and Nevada” addendum to TMZ’s ^ sentence - And for sure in Santa Clarita and Pxxxxxxx and San Pedro as documented on this thread. P.S. Note to locals in the Tahoe area, the respective forested park will remain closed today and tomorrow due to the filming. Last edited by Penton-Man; 12-10-2018 at 06:43 PM. Reason: added a P.S. |

If > non-traditional frame rate(s) has a future hope for anything other than documentaries or sports, meaning narrative motion pictures, don’t think of it as simply high frame rate, but more refined as in Tony’s solution - https://www.reald.com/#/truemotion

Waboman, as an alternative, if my winnings were more humble, I could make do with this combo
![]() ![]() And note to TMZ, in ^ Coronado, not the city of San Diego….they’re separate cities |

Normally, making a verb out of a noun, and vice versa is something heavily frowned upon. To the chagrin of many, it has been accelerating a lot here in recent years especially in sport commentary with terms like "that's a big ask" instead of "that's a big thing to ask" (ask is a verb, not a noun), "he's medalled twice in this Olympics" instead of "he has won two medals so far in this Olympics". (A medal is a noun, not a verb!). But "revolutionise" - "to make a revolution out of the thing" - is widespread, common and wouldn't bat en eyelid! However, don't get me started on "burglarise". That sounds horrible to me. It sounds like the sort of made-up word George W. Bush would use! "He was burglarised" [to describe someone who has had things stolen]? No, that should be "he was burgled". ![]() HTH ![]() in summary then: "5G is set to revolutionise the remote production of sport and live events following a series of successful tech demos by BT Sport and EE." could also be written as "Today will go down in history. Make a note in your diaries - actually, no need because it'll be in all the textbooks in years to come. Following a series of successful tech demos by BT Sport and EE, 5G is set to change the remote production of sport and live events so dramatically and profoundly, that it will be described as a revolution." ![]() Last edited by mrtickleuk; 12-10-2018 at 11:07 PM. |

2019 Prediction:
Godzilla: King of the Monsters will the THE HDR disc to own in 2019. It may even end up being the best action movie of the year and probably the best monster movie of all time. I'm more excited for this than Avengers 4 to be honest. |

In your opinion, what are some of the best monster movies of all time? I just think most of them are truly not great. I think the new Godzilla can go to number 1 simply because of the outstanding vusuals and realism, along with feirce action. We'll have to see how it plays out, but it may be in a league of its own because of the visuals. This almost looks like a Michael Bay movie where you may need am oxygen mask just to get through it :P |

When I think monster movie, I think more along the lines of giant city destroyers. So "big monsters", and no I don't mean the rock as a big monster :P Pacific Rim is definitely up there, I'd say it's good but not sure it's great. |

I like Pacific Rim. Going off the top of my head, Cloverfield has to be up there.
