b.t.w. folks, this series is free and only involves a quick rudimentary registration – https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...s#post16226637

and before it becomes nuanced and gets deep into the weeds, it does have a little HDR topic that Consultant end users (hobbyists) should understand and may not be familiar with

Like so? the exclusive (as in before news agencies, aviation blogs and social media knew about it) heads-up for Blu-ray.com readership to the imminent filming onboard yet another aircraft carrier….https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...r#post16055574

with a subtle hint as to which one (cropping the ‘71’) and the plot - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...t#post16043346

along with the day it departed homeport - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...y#post16105908

Yeah. There are always losses when one company consumes another, but when each company basically does the exact same thing as the other one then there's an entire legion of people whose jobs have been made entirely redundant with a swish of a pen.

When I saw this in the Avengers thread (it being a piss-take of the Endgame marketing) it genuinely made me feel sad for what's just happened, not just for all those jobs but Fox as a whole. What? No, those aren't tears in my eyes, it's just hay fever season is all...

Arri stuffed their LF sensor into a Mini body: https://www.fdtimes.com/2019/03/28/arri-alexa-mini-lf/

Also, something that caught my eye in the article:

Greig Fraser captured The Mandalorian Star Wars TV Series with ALEXA LF and is now shooting Dune with it.

Thanks for ^^ posting this.

I enjoy following the Cinema creators technologies. One of my all time top trade conventions was my February 2019 HPA Retreat educational event.

After watching and thoroughly enjoying Aquaman on Blu-ray 3D I really wish 3D was made a part of the 4K standard. Perhaps the sequel to Avatar will lead to a resurgence in the demand for home 3D.

Think of thee implications with https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...s#post16015685 as image processing on smartphones is potentially closely related to breakthroughs, given time, with larger cameras and even cinema cameras.

How Do I Know? Same as how I knew about this - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...y#post16212270 while still a work in development, 3 years before its fruition - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...e#post10089063

Do you have a link so that the removal can be justified?

Thanks

No link but common sense would seem to justify it

All I know is they're distributed by Disney and not authored by them.

The discs also have DTS:X which Disney does not support.

Cutting edge folks think that home 3D will be born again , though the gestational period will be quite long (so don’t hold your breath), with the emergence of very good auto-stereoscopic displays involving the inter-connected concepts of holographic and light-field imaging which are currently in various stages of development across the industry, including at the MIT Media Lab - https://www.smpte.org/education/webc...ration-imaging
