That's a lot of letters and numbers. OK, five letters and three numbers, but still. The main thing you should take away is that SL-HDR1 is backwards compatible with non-SDR TVs. This is what makes it good for broadcast. SL-HDR2 has dynamic metadata, so it potentially offers the picture quality improvements of the more advanced HDR formats like HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. SL-HDR3 is still in the early stages, and is tied to HLG which itself is in the early stages, so it's not worth worrying about for now.

I’ll add a couple things from firsthand experience. At the last HPA Tech Retreat in the desert
Technicolor did a demo showing SL-HDR1 and unlike what Geoffrey claims “it's potentially better than SDR” which I feel is an understatement,

the consensus of viewers at the event was that the baseball game content looked unequivocally superior to SDR. So, congrats to Technicolor for proof of concept.

Also, on a more esoteric note, the answer to this prompt - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...i#post15129685 is the Technicolor application, which unlike the other HDR solutions, has its own defined payload type.

When I had my season ticket 20 years ago my seat was just over to the right of where that video was taken. That end of the Holmesdale stand was always where the loudest chants came from, we weren't black-shirted 'Ultras' back then mind you. I did get thrown out once though for a few, ah, hand gestures directed towards the opposing fans whose seating area in the stand on the right, the Arthur Wait, has since been moved from being directly adjacent to the Holmesdale to all the way down the other end. No more getting showered with seats and coins by Millwall fans, ah well...
