As I said back in 2018 - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...p#post14747305 .

Hence, the assertion made by the 3 investigators from Apple at the respective JCTVC meeting that Y’CbCr is superior than ICtCp, is a claim rather than a proven definitive fact.
Thusly, a more fair/accurate comparison without Y’CbCr bias would have been to use a 4:4:4 R’G’B’ interface.

Just returned from your area. Purpose of visit was Sequoia, Yosemite and kin. Wanted to go to the TCL Chinese Theatre but just did not have the time.

Physical, no. However the encounter left me with a prejudicial wariness with regards to any wild animal that’s following me….exception being Maya - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...postcount=2659

b.t.w. to be clear for the sake of locals looking to purchase tickets for Thursday and beyond to see Gemini Man at the TCL Chinese, the Cinity install – https://www.christiedigital.com/en-u...ith-gemini-man

at the Chinese was a one-shot deal for the LA premiere only, follow-up showings of Gemini Man will use the more typical projection systems.

Sony confirms the PS5 will have a UHD drive: https://www.wired.com/story/exclusive-playstation-5/
Quote:
But data adds up too. "If you look at a game like Marvel's Spider-Man," Cerny says, "there are some pieces of data duplicated 400 times on the hard drive." The SSD sweeps away the need for all that duping—so not only is its raw read speed dramatically faster than a hard drive, but it saves crucial space. How developers will take advantage of that space will likely differ; some may opt to build a larger or more detailed game world, others may be content to shrink the size of the games or patches. Either way, physical games for the PS5 will use 100GB optical disks, inserted into an optical drive that doubles as a 4K Bluray player.

not mentioned at Comic-Con and such but I’ll have you know that to be in frame, Tom clocked a speed of 80+ mph and the F/A-18 ~ 140 mph for that ^ side by side shot

Times have changed, e.g. Jim Gianopulos and Jerry do realize ; nevertheless, I think Steve McQueen may have looked down at the runway at NASNI and smiled - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cN7tuTNCBZE#t=31m57s

China's TCL today announced the U.S. availability of its flagship 4K TVs.

The aggressively priced 8 Series comprises two mini-LED-backlit models — the 65-inch 65Q825 ($1,999) and 75-inch 75Q825 ($2,999) — which will be sold only on bestbuy.com and through Best Buy stores across the country.
Pre-orders begin today.

Hailed as the world’s first televisions to utilize mini-LED back-lighting, the 8 Series TVs incorporate Roku's TV platform and feature TCL's Quantum Dot (QLED) color and Quantum Contrast technologies in addition to supporting Dolby Vision high dynamic range (HDR) and Dolby Atmos object-based surround sound.

The TVs cover 100% color of the DCI-P3 color space and are engineered to push the boundaries of HDR, according to TCL. The 75-inch model, for example, is backlit by 25,000 individual mini-LEDs, enabling it to "directly take on high-contrast OLED TVs."
