More is missing as specs are still in the process of revision –

and this standard for HDR 10+ impacts other standards on HDR10+ like from Society of Cable Television Engineers (SCTE) CTA and ATSC

2nd FCD ballot to accept revisions is due mid-January

As we wind up this year of our lord 2019. Lets look back on some of the highlights here in the Top Gun 2 HDR thread. We had poles, fighter jets, fake horses, beach bars, more poles and of course the PM taking a vacation.
[Show spoiler]

Happy New year!🍾

is that not to be named snake oil salesman so it is a real challenge for me to keep that socially bottled up as much as I care about how it affects all of us. I suppose I need a twitter to occasionally vent like some of the cinematographers out there ( https://twitter.com/steveyedlin?ref_...Ctwgr%5Eauthor ) with balls.

Anyway, I personally am more offended by posters who speak above their expertise and experience with inaccurate statements that the naïve accept as fact rather than someone bending the rules a bit on matters of conscience, but it is what it is.

You aren't referring to the Christmas movie Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, starring Joe Pesci (The Irishman, My Cousin Vinny, Home Alone, Raging Bull, Casino, Goodfellas, Once Upon a Time in America, A Bronx Tale).

And you aren't referring to this short clip ...

So you must be referring to the party after the pole's dancers ...
That was a high dynamic range picture.

Would love to have the Vikes/Ravens in the SB. Sadly, I have a feeling my team will be watching it on tv after this Sunday.

Alright, lets crack up some Dungeness and bubbly and get this party started.

thank you for your all’s concern but zee wife claims thee ol’ totem pole can hold its own without need of enhancements nor booster pills . As to the alcoholic ingestion portion of the midnight celebration, we’re planning oysters with this - http://store.wineresort.com/cart/pro...NVPGSPK17.aspx

which we actually prefer over champagne.

so before we pop the cork out here on the west coast what does that make it?
about 15 - 16,000 views/day for this thread for the month of December?

the culprits - https://forum.blu-ray.com/misc.php?d...osted&t=276605

Peloton-Man, got any pictures of Jenny? That’s all we want to see. The rest of that camel pee yellow cinematography won’t do.

16,414/day (over half million views for December, ending the decade with a Bang).
https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...ostcount=11615

Round it to 16,415 views per day on average (508,900 views total in December)

If this HDR thread maintains the pace for 2020, by year's end it should have 11 million views.
If not, 10 million (roughly 400,000 views per month).

Yeah, it's "just" 12 bit that's missing (!).

edit: PM - (don't click the link unless I'm) 21yo! Ha. What do they legally expect 18-21yos to do, it's baffling to me how that would ever work in reality. Not being able to drink at university seems mind-blowing to me. Must be about as sensible as prohibition, or is that too controversial! Happy New Year.

#1
You go into your eye doctor’s office for a check-up and can read all the letters on the 20/20 line and not just that but also a couple letters on the next line lower down (20/15 line) on the vision chart. How is/or should your visual acuity be recorded by the tech? (kinda refer back to LordoftheRings pic of Santa leaving the party with the pole dancers and do the math)

#2
Who (what specific person) came up with the number 2020 for BT.2020 - https://www.itu.int/rec/R-REC-BT.2020/en while in the respective ITU working group back in the day?
