This time for gaming too, not just streaming. This pretty much guarantees that it will support DV via UHD Blu-ray, too.

LG MAGNIT MICRO LED DISPLAY LAUNCHED FOR PRO AV AND RESIDENTIAL APPLICATIONS

Quote:
LG is launching its first micro LED Display signage solution, dubbed the LG Magnit, in Europe, the Americas, Asia and the Middle East this week.

Using a block-assembly design, coupled to Black Coating display technology, the technology can be installed in scale for Pro AV and high-end residential applications.

The LG Magnit features self-emissive micrometre-scale pixels to deliver sharper images with improved contrast and wider viewing angles.
Significantly, the LG Magnit is also being positioned as a high end 1
63-inch residential display solution, clearly with Samsung’s Wall technology in mind.

It's an indicator, but not a guarantee. Remember, this is MS we're talking about.

MS has been on the Dolby train for a while. I'd be surprised if it doesn't support DV for UHD Blu-ray.

I'd be surprised if it does. Keep in mind at all times, how X-Box One X owners have been treated. They are still waiting for Dolby Vision support from disc, after all this time, and they've been stuck on the Microsoft train the longest.

Seeing as no one has answered your question, I would conjecture that yes it has to support Low Latency DV for it to work on a Sony display. Secondly, back when we first heard about LLDV when Sony rolled out their DV tv update, gaming was mentioned a few times as a beneficiary from this. Probably less lag in the console/display connection chain.

As I said, it’s just conjecture on my part based on above factoids.

7,000,000 views pretty soon.

Tom Cruise (Top Gun: Maverick - M:I 7), I've read some not long ago that he's encouraging people to go back and see movies in theater.
I think it was for Tenet (Christopher Nolan's enigmatic new drama flick).

My wife informs me I appear no different (other than wearing a mask not only vis-à-vis emoji – https://forum.blu-ray.com/misc.php?d...=vB_Editor_001 , , but now also offline, in public) and specifically, no older, than in this pic where I was “holding court” at a shelter at one of the most popular places to mountain bike in SoCal –

Bob, by answering, you’re placing me in an awkward situation. Given the Top Gun: Maverick theatrical release has been pushed back 3 times, twice due to the pandemic, I believe that Tom is understandably frustrated and antsy for folks to see the movie on the BIG screen, especially in IMAX because with the aerial sequences, it looks so awesome that way as compared to on most consumers’ home TVs.

Safety is/should be of paramount importance to everyone and their families….and for that matter, their communities. At this time, it’s difficult to make a perfectly correct prediction with regards to exactly what the state of affairs will be come next July. During the COVID-19 pandemic, my opinion is that when the time comes, each fan should make an informed judgement, based on science rather than passion, with regards to attending any movie theater for any motion picture.

So, look at your local community’s positivity rate (https://www.jhsph.edu/covid-19/artic...-positive.html) and if particular public health measures are adopted by the respective theater and patrons, notwithstanding the availability of any vaccine, which will not be a silver bullet (i.e. not nearly 100% effective).
