If you have to buy a HDMI cable, make sure it's 'Premium Certified' quality, Amazon has Monoprice or others for under $10 for 6 footers. 'Premium Certified' are made to handle up to 18 gbs data. DON'T BUY THE SUPER EXPENSIVE CABLES! It's not needed.

No need to worry, that's the exact reason it's being implemented. Whether stuff like Game of Thrones, Westworld, Chernobyl and His Dark Materials, where 4K masters already exist and are available elsewhere will be upgraded is another matter.
