In case some folks missed the news last month ... YouTube 4K HDR
▪︎https://www.androidheadlines.com/202...-displays.html

And on March 11, Oppo with AMOLED display & HDR10+
▪︎https://www.oppo.com/en/newsroom/pre...-colour-phone/

Because HDR matters

* And if someone says you're a loony it's because that someone is the real looney, period!

I've got both coming in for review in May (that is when they think they'll have them available here stateside). Looking forward to it.

Me too. My expectations aren't set too high, less than their prices.

And I’m looking forward to your review, Kris . In the meantime, the French folks are quite active, e.g. https://www.homecinema-fr.com/forum/...tml#p180598679

Back in June of 2017, I was not at liberty to specify the writer being brought on for Raya and the Last Dragon, nor, for that matter, the title of the animated feature itself -

IMDb rating is 4.8. Ouch.
(sorry, crossed wires - I meant the movie "Sentinelle").

That flick ... 'Sentinelle' was Penton's idea to keep the topic on the French accent.

And as for the two new Reavon universal 4K HDR Blu-ray players ...
Before Kris get to review them in May we're going to see reviews from France, UK and Germany this month and next.

risen to #3 today on Netflix. Be it the environs of Dallas or Dubai, abusive technocrats are not as insulated as they may think, especially when confronted face to face by someone who has little to lose after suffering a severe injustice.

Last night I was just curious and watched 'Sentinelle'
I don't recommend ... It was awefully/painfully terrible.
If I was going to rate it in all honesty ... half star out of ten (0.5/10)
You have been warned. I wasted 80 minutes; my sacrifice to you.
____

Back to HDR and everything that's good about it...including Tom and Chuck.

I'm 44, and I grew up in a very rural area with almost no light pollution. We lived on a 165 acre cattle farm that a maternal uncle owned. Two of the highlights of my youth were going out with my dad to gaze at stars/spot constellations/watch meteor showers and to consume the PBS/Carl Sagan Cosmos documentary on 13 VHS tapes, which dad would rent on his way home from work 45 miles away. And now, here we are, watching high resolution video from the surface of Mars. Amazing. I can't help but wonder where would be as a society...no, as a species, if instead of using all the resources we've committed to finding newer and more clever ways of killing each other, and instead put them towards understanding and mastering our cosmos.

Forget Chuck and Tom for a moment, given it’s International Women’s Day, no love for Raya? and documented cutting-edge behind-the-scenes Insider information, years before it is shared with media outlets the likes of imdb - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9138058/?ref_=nm_flmg_wr_1 being the catalyst for a fine story .

I've been celebrating International Women's Day all day today.
Just not here, but over there ... while listening to music.

I didn't see Raya, just yet.

It is amazing that we are seeing Mars live, and in 4K, with remote controls from Earth. But Earth is a much nicer planet, more colorful and diversified. We just need to clean up the toxic garbage created by man.

...And by nature too; some created by nature of man. ...Texas?
