I basically started this thread for myself, so I could go to one thread and find all the various comments, articles and videos that explained HDR. It took me about two years to basically understand HDR etc.

There are a number of good videos and conversations that helped this dummy to fully understand it.

VEVO needs to be sued for those NTSC upconverts they advertise as being remastered in actual HD. Very annoying. They don't look any better than if you have the DVD version of their music videos. For all the fuss they made about remastering them (press release and everything) it's no better than what some amateurs are doing upconverting NTSC to HD with their own computers.
