I believe Scott would like one in his home office - https://www.imdb.com/name/nm3270979/
I’m thinking between his camera and that display it would sure result in better pole detail for Geoff and Wabo than my meager attempt as a unit photographer - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...e#post17295783 |

In 2025 we'll see where the industry is ... Mini LED & Mikro LED, ...how advanced HDR would be, with all the nits and the luts and the nuts and boats. ![]() * Godzilla and Kong will be proud; we'll make sure of that. For now those two together look and sound awesome. |

![]() ![]() ![]() He. I presume you’re an aficionado of Wreck beach. I’m not sure. I think they said 12,000 and change. I know the stadium can hold about 70,000 normally, so pretty good, considering. The Italian people there and watching on TV really deserve some good times during the tournament for all that country has been thru. |

For those who like to know how to make the sausage (by Apple). Includes Apple’s solution for making HDR displays provide optimal response in all environments - https://developer.apple.com/videos/play/wwdc2021/10161/
* With regards to terminology - https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...by#post9489764 For the historical record, Dolby initially used the phrase Extended Dynamic Range (EDR) – https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...al#post9174207 before later pretty much settling on the term HDR. |

The IMAX logo is too big to print on an iPhone; on a M1 iPad Pro (12.9") it would do.
...Or a Samsung tablet: Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra (14.6" screen) Back to HDR/Dolby Vision and iPhone 12 Pro Max ... The short take ... One a bit longer ... Comparison ... |

■ https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=de...yRoxY#t=12m17s I've watched 100 videos and comparisons of cameras on phones. To make it very simple (if the latest technologies on cameras with 8K and HDR, Optical x10 Zoom, Digital x100 Zoom, Telephoto, etc. is your bag on cell phones) ... |

So…. ‘Dolby Vision’ in a phone is 10-bit 4:2:0 video captured in HLG. And the metadata generated is discarded anyway if the footage is exported into a professional grading space. What an absolute joke

Doug Trumbull’s new project, or the rebooting of HFR for motion pictures:
“Very few people in Hollywood understand how movies work,” he says. “They aren’t aware that in all the digital projectors installed there are no shutters – there is no flicker. [Yet flicker] is what differentiates movies from TV. So, if you introduce digital flicker in the projection of the film [actually in the DCP file] it can look fully cinematic even if you raise the frame rate to 120 or 160.” https://www.redsharknews.com/doug-tr...ture-of-cinema |
