Is that with your settings a few days ago on the Z9D thread?

Yes, but with white balance corrections not stated because they really do need to be set for each TV individually. That said, the AVF video they did on their calibrated settings from last year (which I've only just seen) recommended setting the Blue gain down to -5 in the 2-point correction and that's exactly what I set mine to as a result of my calibration so that's a very good start.

I wouldn't expect any less after paying half what I paid for the tv itself

But I didn't pay for a pro calibration, it's all home-grown using free software and an inexpensive colourimeter/spectro combo. I can run a calibration whenever I like instead of paying £££'s every time for the privilege so that practically pays for itself in effect, particularly as all sets drift over time anyway.

If one is inclined to pay for the service, local home theater enthusiasts in my neck of the woods tend to use Dave:

I have an HDR question. First thing I did after I set up my new panel was pop in my Spears & Munsil disc to check for clipping. The only adjustment I made was tone down contrast 5 clicks since it clipped whites from 240 and tone down sharpness in SDR mode. My question is should I leave contrast as is in HDR mode or apply the same adjustments to contrast as I did in SDR. I also noticed that in SDR sharpness is set at 20 and in HDR it's set at 0. I cannot find a calibrating disc for 4K but I heard there is options.

I own CalMAN and an X-Rite so I'm not new to this.

Thanks

I enjoy those tables far more than the hula hoop diagrams, which tend to hypnotize me if given more than a short glance.

Where’s input from our homegrown and/or professional calibrators? Geoff may be feeling a bit anti-social after yesterday’s dismal showing by CP.
Sorry mate.

HTH, and if I've goofed anywhere then there are several actual experts who'll correct me in due course.
You didn't 'goof'.

for hobbyists who can’t afford the ^ FS5, but still would like instant HDR, the FDR-AX700 camcorder is more economical - https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ...camcorder.html

Looking back, I kinda wish my parents had one of these ^ camcorders back in the day to capture my humble exploits on the soccer pitch during highschool, college and club matches (certainly not even remotely in the same stratosphere as Pulisic’s quality - https://www.cbsnews.com/videos/the-young-american/

but I'm still quite happy and proud to have played the game , and in schoolyard picks, I often chose someone challenged with asthma, etc. first to remind other players that everyone has some value and winning is not of paramount importance....it's heart).

I've got asthma, I always got picked last at footy. Now I'm not much good with my crook leg anyway, mind you!
