At least you can ride a bike. My balance, it so bad.

It's actually a 4.5k full frame sensor with a similar size and shape to the Sony Venice. And of course, with the new sensor size, it requires new lenses. The Alexa LF doesn't replace the Alexa SXT, but slots in between it and the Alexa 65. But I expect it will become the new workhorse standard. I also expect it will be getting a lot more work for Netflix and Amazon content.

Also, Panavision added the DXL2 8k camera which incorporates the new Red Monstro Vistavision sensor: http://dxl.panavision.com/
Very happy with the news.

If I run a 4K streaming device through a Denon connected to 4K oled tv, would Dolby Vision streaming content play in HDR 10 or in 4K stripped of HDR metadata?

That said, when you look at it in terms of its usage for video processing, some of the chip manufacturers claim that when using AI on the TV chip (instead of a graphics processor), AI uses about 1/10 of the silicon so it’s ~ a tenth of the cost and we may see an extraordinary rapid acceleration in what TV chips will be able to do in the near future concerning things like scaling (e.g. 4K->8K).

And with regards to AI on the TV chip, file this little tidbit under making the lives of TV reviewers as difficult as possible , is that what these AI-chipped TVs will look like out of the box may well be completely different as to how they look after 1000+ hours…..after the AI has been trained inside the owner’s TV. Interesting times ahead.
Paul, I just got around to reading all the articles in your posted reply to me from last Tuesday ^.
Your reference list is a fine primer for those new to the topic (without getting into the weeds, like with GANS - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RhUmSeko1ZE#t=6m35s) and others here should also take the time to read it, if they haven’t already.

And, from your list, I note that the engadget writer picked up on “the 85-inch monster features a "proprietary algorithm" to upscale lower-res video for its Super Hi-Vision screen. The artificial intelligence comes in with its ability to "learn from itself" to improve over time -- which could be interesting…”
yep , certainly could be for those out-of-the-box TV reviewers, like I mentioned above.

Anyway, the promo video from Samsung on AI upscaling tech…..

Solution?
Pedal on a stationary bike in the back row of a spin class behind the Crystals?
That should provide an anchor.

That would require me setting foot on the premises of a gym or other such establishment. Never done that in me life and I'm not about to start now. Besides, the ladies in front might get a little perturbed at having this sweaty, hairy mass huffing and puffing behind them.

From the folks who brought you HDR10+ comes edge enhancement, contract boosting and DNR - all on one chip!

Will the AI be smart enough to realize all those are what videophiles hate on their video transfers?

Which proves my point who would want a device that would constantly be listening to you and your family with the possibility of being hacked?

Peter, car manufacturers aside, you missed the whole point of the video (it was......
pro American football….at least most definitely for the parents and, for that matter, I didn’t notice the kids dawdling off the field either after the last red).

Anyway, my wife and I were ecstatic with the result of the game, given our history of having lived there for several years….

Most exciting Super Bowl we’ve watched with friends in many years, not to mention our admiration for the gutsy play calling by Doug Pederson.
I think you’re forgetting, as a sportsman, I’m a longtime follower of the NFL too …. https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...t#post11738833
