I wouldn’t know who, if anyone, was doing aerial acrobatics yesterday morning as everything was socked in around the bay, the base (foreground) as well as the downtown coastline and making aerial photography in that direction particulary unrewarding…..

keeping in mind that PPI (http://thirdculture.com/joel/shumi/c...e/ppicalc.html)
can’t be used by itself, but must be factored in together with the viewing distance in order to draw any conclusions about visual sharpness as holding a phone only several inches away from your eyes in either direction makes a big difference with such a relatively small screen |

not really. 99% of blu rays are actually 1920x800. They're still considered 1080p though.
Like I said, 4K is a different axis than 1080p was in the HD world, so even based on 1080p/800p logic, it's still 4k. |

Although as ray has mentioned the picture quality can be better, I’m with you in the sense that the very marginal increase in quality comes at too much of a cost (battery life). But as to the science of it all for those who intently watch their high PPI phones at an optimal viewing distance…..

But nevertheless, has been proven in studies like this by vision scientists for years - https://iovs.arvojournals.org/articl...icleid=2185000 (14.6 seconds of arc being far more sensitive than ‘20-20’ vision (1 minute of arc), ’20-20’ visual acuity being the parameter upon which all those charts you see on the internet are based and underestimates our visual capability....at least for those with normal brains) |

Chuck Norris can do more stuff than Tom Cruise and with more gracious smoothness.
![]() It's not for nothing that he's considered the top human being actor with the coolest factor of them all. They don't make them like that anymore. |

https://devicereport.youtube.com/ "These smartphones can deliver the best-in-class YouTube experience by combining next generation technologies, video performance, and reliability. With a Signature Device, you can enjoy vivid HDR videos, immersive 360° video, and fast video load times - all while using less bandwidth. To qualify as a Signature Device, a phone must support high dynamic range, high frame rate, reliable DRM performance, 4K decoding, and use next generation video codecs [i.e. VP9 profile 2].
